If you want bomb tacos on a super cheap budget then go to this place. The locals know what I'm talking about. Small no frills place with a handful of tables and a limited menu of tacos, burritos, tortas and quesadillas. Tacos were $1.15 a few years ago probably higher now but not much I'm sure ($1.50?). Meat choices are carne asada, chicken and al pastor and all cooked to perfection. Where the magic happens is at the salsa bar where you can make that simple looking taco , burrito, torta or quesadilla into something truly special . A culinary work of art because they have all the goodies you need to pile on (and if you are the get the most bang for your buck type YOU WILL PILE IT ON VERY HIGH because those condiments are awesome and a meal by itself). Watch out for the green sauce because to the uninitiated it may seem like ordinary tomatillo salsa but that stuff creeps up on you fairly quickly. One or two tacos with the stuff you are fine but if you're going on your fourth one you may find yourself wanting a refill...

I usually get food from the food truck but my cousin told me they also have a restaurant. So I decided to give it a try since I live far away and was craving their tacos.

My order came out quick grabbed it and left. When I finally got to my destination, I noticed they did not included the salsas, onion + cilantro, or any of the condiments the food truck usually includes.

(huge disappoint)

What made me upset is that the lady at the register never asked me if I wanted any salsa or condiments or if their was an opinion for me to grab it myself. Due to Covid protocols I know they close the self serve salsa bar at many places, so I didn’t try to ask for any.

I guess I gotta do the customer service and ask because the register personnel cannot do their jobs properly. I pretty much got plain...

I patronized this place almost weekly with my best friend for about three months. Everything was just fine up until last night 7/21/18. We ordered the usual, four tacos each and about half way into our meal my friend discovered a MAGGOT crawling out of his food! We were beyond shocked, grossed out, and disgusted. The situation was handled very poorly. They tried to give us fresh tacos but we simply left; couldn't stand being in there a second longer. The restaurant was filled with eating families and management/staff looked the other way and didn't bother to advise the customers who were all eating cilantro and onion from the same batch the worm came from. CONSUMER BEWARE, THEY'RE RECKLESS & CARELESS...

This restaurant also has a food truck where I took my wife last night after picking her family up last night at the Van Nuys flyaway. The taco truck is setup near her mom house so it was convenient. We came a little before midnight and they are still open. I found parking in the small street this truck is setup in. My wife got some carne asada tacos, mulita, her mom got chicken tacos and her brother got their burrito. This is cash only so be aware of you didn't know. They made everyone orders quickly and give a lot of salsa. We took it home to eat and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Nice and cozy place in the San Fernando area. To be honest I was taken by surprise when my cousin took me here. You get in and the flavours hit your nose and all of the sudden you are more hungry. I had tacos and horchata. Carne asada and tacos al pastor hoy the spot great. Their horchata was amazing because it was not too sweet. Most horchatas you have from Mexican restaurant I find very sweet. This one was perfect! Keep up the good work guys. Make sure to try them and let them know who sent you. Your friend from Canada! #chicocares

the place was not bad. i had 3 tacos, asada, cabeza, & tripa which was my least favorite. the small agua frescas are a decent size for the price but the menu says $3.00 & when she rung me up it was $3.50. i had the horchata which was a little too sweet for me. they have a card transaction fee of only .35¢. another thing i didn’t like was that they didn’t mention the tripa was also .50¢ extra which is not much but it’s not advertised. parking is garbage!! i’d place the order in advanced to pick it up but the food was good overall.
