Food is amazing, that is the reason I am giving them 2 stars. This restaurant has plenty of strong points: Good portions Cheap Prices Delicious Food Will correct errors and bring you new dish
What this restaurant does not do right: Customer service Bad mouthing customers who are dining in Spanish Continue to bad mouth customers even when telling them you speak spanish. Blame you for errors Tables are dirty
Ultimately what this comes down to, I love the food here, i can still recommend it based on food, but if they mess up one of your dishes, and even have it on the receipt as X, they will bad mouth you for wanting it as you bought it.
If you buy a boba milk tea, and they hand you a literal sour, fermented drink, and you tell them the drink is bad, they get mad at you. They will remake the drink begrudgingly but will be mad at you.
If you ask for nothing spicy, no wasabi, no spicy mayonnaise, and they bring a dish with spicy mayonnaise, do you expect the person to be like, yes this is what i ordered? Especially after this has happened 4 times now(make it the 5th now). Then being fed this excuse that no spicy refers to spicy tuna. The dish we ordered does not come in spicy tuna, I would have to specifically alter the order to make it so that it comes with spicy tuna. WHY would we order a dish that does not come in spicy tuna, and take our time to request no spicy tuna? Just admit that it was a mistake, and don't bad mouth your customers while their dining or about to leave. I don't care if you badmouth us when we leave, incredibly rude to do so while the people are still eating there, especially when you been made aware the customer...
Read moreMy family and I call this place "Asian Nasty" I guess nobody cares about how bad the food is when it's cheap because there was a steady stream of customers the entire time we were here. And, the management obviously knows that nobody cares about the food when it's cheap because this is one of the worst places in Sylmar to eat.
We went here wanting sushi. We didn't expect awesome sushi, given the type of place it was, but one look at the fish in their little bar, and I wasn't going near that. I opted for a easy-peasy California roll... because how bad can fake crab meat be? Big mistake. It's too early to tell if it's going to make me sick, but it was by far the worst sushi roll I've ever eaten. It was if it was 2 days old. I think it was. It was tough and chewy like bubble gum.
We also had the Chicken Katsu. I requested all macaroni salad in substitute of the rice, and was taken aback that they wanted $2 extra for tiny scoops of mac salad. When I was outwardly surprised, the big burly cook jumped in and acted as if I was going to cause trouble. I just paid the fee and moved on. The chicken cutlet in the Chicken Katsu was completely inedible. It was fried so long that it was painful to eat... as it if was rocks. My spouse had the same problem. It was just the worst chicken I think I've ever eaten. We also ordered 2 egg rolls for $2 which were quite literally half the size shown in the photo and were spring rolls, not egg rolls. They were the size of my thumb, and that's not big.

Read moreMy family and I used to love this place, we had eaten at this restaurant for years. However, unfortunately this rainy day, Asia Tasty scarred us for life. My father picked up two wonton soups with extra shrimp, yum. He gets home, and he, my mother, and I, sit down to eat, each of us with a plate of soup. My parents were already half way done with their bowls, and I had taken about two sips when I saw something small and black. Looking very closely I saw it was what appeared to be a gnat, small legs, little wings, no HUGE deal right? My mother then spots two in hers, and then I find another in mine. How is that okay? That would imply that there had to be a lot of little insects in that pot of theirs for us to have gotten so many, and we didn't even thoroughly search the soup, there was no need at that point. I now have the image of gnats flying above their pots in the kitchen and falling into the food. My dad said he would've thought it was small pieces of the broccoli! That is absolutely disgustingly unforgivable. I can only imagine all the other poor fools out there swallowing gnats, or whatever that little insect was. People unknowingly thinking its spice or particles of food. Unsanitary place to eat. I will say, that they did not argue or give me trouble with getting my refund. If you still want to chance it and eat at Asia tasty, just know you might be getting a little extra protein added to your meal, if you know...
