Problematic to say the least. Where to begin... So - My 71 year old mother purchased a portable AC online and set up instore pickup for April 7th. To help her out I of course go to pick it up and then install it. Problem 1 of 2: I went to the store to pick up the AC. First problems right off the bat - they couldn't find it in the pickup area. The person assisting me was very friendly (so there's the 1 star). She eventually told me I could come back later when the..movers?..find it, OR I could go to the aisle where it should be and pick it up..physically..myself. This all sounded goofy but I obviously decided to go get the AC. The staffer wrote down the aisle number and SKU for MY ALREADY PURCHASED PRODUCT. I went to the aisle. It's up on a shelving unit. I return to the desk and let the staffer know that I'd need help since I'm not going up a ladder to get a product that should already be in front of me. She sends me back and over the intercom pages a staffer to assist me in the aisle. I wait 10 minutes. No one. 15 minutes. No one. I go find a ladder and do it myself. I get the receipt and leave. Problem 2 of 2: I go to install portable AC today. I notice as soon as I open the box - this unit is absolutely WELL USED. Like, literally damaged and scratched up. There is no indication on the purchase order that this is some kind of returned/refurbished product and this thing cost over $300 - If you've ever installed one of these portable ACs you can tell how used this thing is, it likely already went through a whole heat season in someone's apartment. Dirt and spunk clogging the vents, literally someone's matted hair near the drain plug, scrapes and scratches, foam stuck to the vent from previous install, a weirdly crumpled vent tube... Pretty insane honestly all around. Won't return and will reach out to the manufacturer to let them know what's going on at this place.

I went to Home Depot because I needed air filters. What I found was a very neat and organized store. As I made my way to the air filters, ugh. As organized as the store was it just so happened they had placed what I believe were large water heaters right in front of the air filters leaving very little space. I was able to squeeze through to get the air filters, but I had to take away a star and give it to myself for keeping in shape. Bulk pricing was available for the air filters which was awesome, it reduced my cost tremendously, which is always a good thing. At checkout I noticed they had made a change since my last visit. They now have a stable of self-checkout stalls. It makes sense that a do-it-yourself store would allow do-it-yourselfers to checkout themselves. The woman at self-checkout was very friendly and directed me to the next available checkout stall. I scanned and paid for my purchase and was out of the store in under 10 minutes. A very favorable Home Depot visit.

I was sadly disappointed. With our current windstorms many plants had frayed or broken limbs. The sales team were very helpful as always. However, when returned to my car it had been damaged by another. The driver didn't have the decency to leave a note or provide any information. I asked if Home Depot had surveillance cameras. They do I left my contact information to receive any information from the results. How sick. I intentionally parked away from any vehicles. I did not have a great taste in my mouth after spending so much and now, my auto insurance is going to increase or I pay out of pocket. Shame, shame. Shame.

Looked for a washer/dryer that has a sterilization mode and i found them at Home Depot. Purchased a GE washer/dryer set, items were delivered 10 days later. Unfortunately the dryer did not work. Called Home Depot to return the GE gas dryer which was picked up 6 days later. The company "Temco" picked up dryer on 03/30/21 and gave me written confirmation GE dryer which included the item #, model and serial # was picked up. I asked the gentleman who picked the dryer how i can get a refund because i did pay cash. He said for me to call Home Depot which i did. When i called Home Depot I was informed i would have to come in and show my receipt to get my cash back. But when iaskec for the girls name, the phone was disconnected. On 04/04/21, i called twice i spoke to 2 different employees. I explained to the 1st employee ( she did not give her name when she answered)the situation of the " dryer being returned" , I also explained to her i had a purchase receipt and receipt confirming dryer was pickedu on 03/30/21. The employee stated that i must come in with my receipt to get my money back. I asked for her name and the phone disconnected. I called again, employee answers gives no name, retold the story again . The employee states i must come in to get a refund, i explained i paid by cash, she interrupted me and stated if you paid in cash you get cash back but you must come in. Well i go in 30 mins later and i can not get my cash back because the item does not show being returned even though i have a receipt with GE dryer serial #, model #, pickup date, driver signature. This receipt also includes the company "Temco" and name/signature(which he said that it was proof item had been pickedup) of the person who picked it up. It took 6 employees in customer service to help or figure out what to. Of course in the mean time the line is going out the front door. The employees all dont have name tags on are talking among themselves. At least 15 minnutes go by and they are all huddle together not helping the customers in line or even acknowledging them. All the (6)employees end up standing behind one employee who states " i talked to you on the phone but u didn't say it was a dryer. I replied " yes i did tell you and i also stated i had a purchase receipt and return receipt from Temco. She replied well we cannot give you back your cash because we need to confirm with GE that the dryer was returned. I replied you guys here always cjange your answets that why i called twice. Since you admitted to talking to me on the phone why didnt you check then or call GE . Her reply was " because you didnt tell me" , we started to exchange words but another employee stepped in and said we will call you tomorrow after GE is called confirming the GE dryer was returned. Lets see if i get a call. Your employees need customer service training especially in appliances. Why do you have rude employees...

At the beginning of my visit I had a horrible experience due to losing my gift card that I was given by Home Depot employee for a return I had (without a receipt you get a gift card). It was only minutes after we walked away from counter to roam around store to pick up a few things we needed when my boyfriend realized the card had fallen out of his pocket . Since it had only been less than 15 to 20 min I went back to the sales rep that helped me so the return and she basically said we can’t do anything. She wasn’t that helpful at all. I asked if she can just put a block on it she said no without even thinking twice or being friendly. I walked away very upset to go start looking for it aisle by aisle since it was $115 dollar gift card . While I was looking through the aisles I realized I should talk to a supervisor, I mean I’ve been in customer service for over 15 years and the meaning of customer service is going out of your way and trying to help the customer. Not by giving attitude . So I saw an employee in one aisle unpacking merchandise and I went up to her asking if I can speak with supervisor . She went ahead and paged manager then manager referred her back to that first rep that said no to me. I told the second employee (Niury was her name) that the lady that their manager referred me too was rude and said there’s nothing she can do. Niury was an angel. Totally simpathizing with my situation she walked me over to an empty station and started to see what she can do to help me. Long story short Niury and another employee Karen were my hero’s of the day. They made it happen and gave me another gift card and canceled that one. The point is maybe it is their rule that they can’t but the fact how both Niury and Karen handled the situation and went out of their way to make customer happy when they saw how stressed I was means they truly are the definition of amazing customer service! Thank you sooo much! Haven’t had such an incident happen in a long time that an employee of a store quickly changed my stressed...

If I could give this home depot a minus -5 stars I would its been horrible service and the run around for me since this last Friday before father's day . my dad went in to purchase a bqq grill a $$ expensive one at that on Friday night and went to go pick it up in a van we rented on Saturday. Upon receiving it and going home we notice the bottom of the box was slightly dented in we hoped the product (grill) was not damage we open box and found it was dented and decided to call and let them know and take it back asap. So we traveled back to the store only to find they didn't have any other ones of that same model in there location or any stores or online.but the manager who was helping us had let us know that a supposed delivery on Sunday night (fathers day ) was gonna arrive and that it was gonna have the grill my dad wanted and had purchase. So the manager refunded us the money and said when the grill comes in he will put it aside and knock off $50 for the inconvenience and that on Monday we could pick it up in will call. We agreed though disappointed we didn't have the bqq grill for fathers day .on Monday my dad goes to the store and spends an hour and a half with a great worker trying to help him find the grill he was promised they have . he comes home and let's me know the situation how they didn't have the grill so I called to find out what had happen and upon calling I was told the grill was there set aside so we travel down to the store and tried to figure what was happening .turned out it was the wrong grill .. So long story shorten they would have that grill my dad wanted for at least a month if not more so my dad settled for another bqq grill they offered a discount and for it to be built and ready by Tuesday if not Wednesday for sure we would get a call . long and behold its Wednesday no call so I called had horrible service took me an hour an . a half just to get the answer that they don't know if its been...
