First time coming to this place. We were a large party (11 people) and luckily the bathroom was empty and we were able to set all the tables together make a long table. They do have an outside sitting are. In front of the restaurant on the sidewalk and a back sitting area (outside all the way to the back of the restaurant). It’s a little hard for large parties since it’s a first come first serve type of place but like I said we got lucky. I obviously had to try the huarache con salsa roja de asada and it did not disappoint. The meat was flavorful and freshly made. We did however keep getting our food by 3s so by the time the first group was done eating, the last group was just getting their food. Overall everything we ordered was delicious. Great flavors, freshly made and lots of options for everyone. A great place to share with friends to try a little of everything or a great place to not share and be selfish and enjoy your own plate. Lol.

Oh my gosh! I have discovered another delicious place! I highly recommend this gem that has remained open despite all the gentrification the area has taken place. Please order the chips and Salsa and the chilaquiles Con huevos estrellados. Can you tell I like that dish? Anyway, come to this spot for real homemade food. The only down side is that they do need to be a lil more organized. Meaning that they should provide numbers to deliver to the tables...I don't know how they keep track. Other than that, please come. 🤤 oh! And a lot of activity.

My wife loves this place and always has a hankering for their Huaraches. Personally i really like their Agua Frescas. They have a very nice selection. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food. Ordering can be a little chaotic with no real understanding of should you order from the table or from the bar. Also the service is a little on the slower side. TIP - If you order Agua Frescas, remember you don't have to stick to one flavor, trying mixing flavors. My favorite Watermelon and Melonmix. YUM!!!

I was with a friend and we decided to grab a drink while we waited for our show to start. This place was near the theater and I was sure a Mexican spot would have margaritas. They only have "wine cocktails". We thought we would try anyway but after taking our drink order, no one came to say anything to us for probably 15 mins. The wine cocktails were $13 for a half glass of wine mixed into margarita mix and ice, not worth it. We also ordered guacamole and it completely missed the mark. It was lacking basic salt and lime. I told my friends that I would fix it myself so I asked the waitress for some limes and she brought me lemons. They didn't even have limes??? At a Mexican restaurant? Finally our food came. I had never had a Huarache before so I didn't know what to expect but considering everything else, my expectations were not high. Surprise, I was disappointed once again. There were no jalapenos and not very many toppings at all. My friend didn't even eat hers. These things run almost $18, if I remember correctly. Ridiculous.

  • This was at the location in LA. If you go to the Oakland Location, please don't hold my review against them. I've...
