I ordered chicken nachos, quesarrito, large Jamaica water with no ice, a cup of cheese and chips on the side. I think the only good thing right i got in this order was the chips. Chicken nachos were “Asada” meat. Quesarrito was the size of a regular burrito, i have gotten this item before 3 times to be exact and those 3 times were the same size. This time i felt ripped off. Just because i asked for no ice they gave me watered down Jamaica water. If you didn’t have enough tell me and i get another flavor dont just do that to people. The container holding the nacho cheese was dirty. It was the bottom of the pile that’s touching the metal…not cool…. As for the Asada meat and their charbroiled meat. They charge you $1 more for “asada” yet you oder asada and you get the same meat as you do with the charbroiled meat. I have tested several times and its the same meat. Save your $1! (They probably changed me $2) didn’t even give me my receipt to verify. The lady working there didn’t look like she wanted to be there. When they called me to get my order I thanked them, the old guy walked away and the lady finished handing me my order but she was looking down and didn’t even acknowledged me. You know why? Because she and the guy had screwed us. They were guilty and they knew it. I usually don’t give negative reviews even if they give me the worst food. But im tired of this people always messing with the orders just because (insert reason). If you don’t wanna work...

I used to love this food, back when it was good and consistent. Now it's a gamble every time... Don't know what you're gonna get for you order. My favorite is ITEM#8 meat, cheese and guacamole, in the last year- to year and a half 50% of the times I've gotten a disappointment for food. Once I got my lengua burrito and the cook didn't remove the rough layers/skin/spike membrane, I thought I was eating a thorny meal; I called the place 1/2 hour away and the guy says come back I'll remake it for you(he did apologize) no way I was going back. Other times the meat has no seasoning with my last time been just 8/27/17 around 5:30 pm, I'm telling you if Cantinflas knew the bad food that is being served he will probably crawl out of his grave and remove his picture from the place. Ah, yes one more thing the night shift guy takes the order, handles money and does not wash his hands before grabbing the tortilla for the burrito. he did after... what is the freaking point? DUDE WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER HANDLING MONEY WHEN THE NEXT THING YOU ARE GOING TO DO IS HANDLE FOOD! COCHINO!! This one incident happen around July 2017. I gave them another chance but 8/27/17 was the last straw, Going back to MC Donald's... and I hate MC Donald's! Damn right El Indio Mexicano, you just got bumped...

This 24 hour eatery in Van Nuys has an assorted menu of Mexican favorites. If you are an American Airlines Advantage rewards member you can rack up points from buying your meals here. The food is good enough for return visits. Beware the portions are huge so if you are not counting calories or care about your carbs, you'll enjoy the food. Some days are hit or miss when it comes to flavor at times the food can be bland if you don't add salsa or other sauces on the side. I think it depends on who is cooking that day. Some combos come with drinks and they have a small selection of lunch specials for under $12. Prices are a little higher than comparable family operations but the portions make up for the price, affordable enough not outrageous. Located on Roscoe just west of Balboa, northwest corner next to Turners Liquor Store. It's a popular place with locals like me. You'll see the smoke and water mists, smell the aromas, and at night the building is lit up bright so you can't miss it. Good choice if you don't know what to eat or just want south of the border cuisine. Try it...

Ok, so I was gonna leave a review, but first, I wanted to read some reviews .. and now here's mine. 1st, it's not authentic Mexican food, period . 2nd, everything they have it is frozen. ( saw the guy come in and out from the walk in friged / freezer) 3rd, I read that they would do better on the rice.. and well, beans, too. The rice was hard, maybe even uncooked . The beans felt super hard. Normally, I buy some type of meat, usually what sells the most since I'm assuming they cook that a lot, and it might be fresh . But I wanted to play safe and got Chile relleno. It tastes really funny, and it was super oily, as you can tell from the picture. And I know it wasn't the beans or rice cause they were dried . And lastly, I got a water hibiscus, and it also tasted funny, and they probably top it off with a bunch of sugar, so im just assuming to mask the taste ? Anyways, I give this place a 0 if I could . And no, that's not sauce on the picture it literally dripping oil. I didn't even finish it after the 1st bite I had .

Wow the birria burrito “ultimate crunchy super queserito “ is a pillow, enough for two meals for me. I thought birria by definition was goat meat but they make it with beef. The beef, rice, beans, cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, salsa and sour cream came wrapped in a double tortilla, which I thought was like double bagging to keep contents in. But upon further inspection, I found there was melted cheese between the tortillas, hence a quesadilla, which is what the menu does say. I promptly lost control of it and needed a fork and a knife. The rosa de Jamaica was super sweet, after the taste of many aficionados of Mexican food. My wife got the birria and says it was too salty . Shaded outdoor on 70s styled colored picnic benches. This is place for challenging your buddy to finish the whole burrito

This is the place down the street, and it's yummy for sure. I really like getting their Tostada Salad with Carnitas--the Carnitas here is very good, their green and red sauces are pretty spicy, but taste good on everything. I also love their Chili Rellano, which has plenty of sauce and cheese. The tacos and burritos are also very good, and the burritos are pretty huge. I've had their Huevos Rancheros, and it's not the best, but it's not the worst either. If I want Huevos Rancheros, and don't want to drive very far, this is the place. Everyone working is always nice :)
