This is my preferred location. We like that the pool is less chlorinated (it's salty) than the Northridge branch on Devonshire.
EDIT Visits here recently have not been ideal. Front desk guy was unsmiling, very dismissive, unhelpful and outright rude. The incident that happened to me I thought might have been a one-off, just a bad day. But it happened again: someone in my household wanted to activate their 7-day complimemtary guest pass (which they had been getting phone calls to remind and encourage them to use). The 2 persons at the front desk (including said guy from previous unpleasant experience), wanted a physical complimentary pass presented. My housemate had not been given a physical pass when they were first invited. They had been called directly by a gym staff member. They were giving my housemate a hard time for wanting to try their complimentary free guest pass. My housemate decided to just leave. Come to find out, I easily found a complimentary guest pass on the LA Fitness website. How do these front desk people not know this? Why didn't they offer my housemate a physical pass? Why didn't they encourage my housemate to sign up online there and then to avail of the online offer? Isn't the purpose of these comp passes to encourage people to use the facility and to eventually sign up for a membership? Iāve Been working out here for about a year, my husband and I were told that we could use the personal training room whenever we wanted when we first signed up, it was a huge part of my workout until we were told not to go in there recently literally after months of using it. I asked if I could use the sled because thatās my workout routine and itās rehabilitation for my knees. Sean tall black guy said ānoā then walked to his desk. He said āthat equipment does not belong to the gym and I canāt use it.ā They also said that the room had been off limits the whole time. I asked if I could speak with a manager because Sean didnāt seem to care at all he was so rude he went back to his desk he clearly doesnāt have any good people skills. I guess thatās why he works in a gym. Then we spoke to Luis Orizio so so rude and ghetto is the only way to describe how he was acting with such attitude. My husband said we have been using that room for months, and he just kept repeating āthat room is off limits! Aug 29: After speaking with Misty again this week, I want to express my appreciation for her helpfulness, responsiveness, and genuine concern. She took the time to walk me through safety concerns, highlighting which areas are covered by security cameras, and made sure I felt supported. That level of customer service deserves recognition.
Thanks to Misty and the staff for helping me gain clarity and feel safer. I'm continuing to use the gym, and Iāve started parking in a more discreet spot, which already feels like a better choice. I appreciate the follow-up and ongoing professionalism. Hopefully, the tire issues were just bad luck.

That said, Iāve had four separate incidents of nails puncturing my tires after parking here, most recently today, August 22, with previous issues in March and again this past Sunday. Each time, I parked in or near the same area and discovered the damage immediately.
I spoke with Misty and Alex, who were both helpful and said theyād try to review the security footage. Iāve also filed a police report. Whether itās a recurring hazard or something more intentional, itās unacceptable.
