Fidel's Pizza — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Me and my husband came here (1 min walking from our apartment building) to try out Hawaiian pizza (I was ill that day and was unable to cook something homemade as I usually do). We decided to order 18" pizza and asked to add chicken, pineaaple, mushrooms and onion (on 1 half). Pizza was ready approx. in 10 or 15 minutes. To say truly this place is not really dine-in - it would be better to take your pizza with you and eat somewhere in the park (for ex. in Sicamore grove park which is in 10 min walking from Fidel's Pizza)... Crust was good, but it was not real chicken added - it was something like chopped nuggets or similar (it was a little bit dissapointment for my husband, cause he prefers real chicken pieces). Stuff was very friendly! Final bill surprised me a little, cause I expected something less than $32, which was announced to me at the end. I've never written a bad review for pizza before, but this is not good pizza and the ratings fooled me. Delivery was fast and the food was hot, but that's where the positives ends. The dough was obviously cooked before it has risen and it's thick, flavorless, and chewy. It tastes like Saltines. The sauce is just canned tomato paste and the cheese is greasy. There were maybe two pepperonis per slice. Like, just enough to not break the law calling this a pepperoni pizza. The garlic cheese bread is the same tough dough, a little olive oil, and cheese. No seasoning, no garlic. Just more chewy Saltines.

This is not the worst pizza I've ever had, but it's the worst pizza I've had...

The family that runs this pizza place is nice. However, I was very disappointed in the quality of the pizza. I ordered a vegetarian pizza, and the toppings were barely scattered. Each slice had one or two pieces of mushrooms. The bell pepper and onions were finely diced, and barely there. Plus, one of the toppings that I ordered was left out. I paid for the extra topping but it wasn't added on. When I called to let them know that the pizza did not have the extra topping, I was asked to go back, give them the pizza, and they will make a new one for me.
