I thought that maybe the poor customer service would be redeemed by high quality food but it was not.

After asking if my fries were seasoned, the guy got defensive and said next time I need to ask them to season the fries. As a professional Chef and food service worker, it is NOT customary or expected for a customer to ask for a food to be prepared in the manner that it is traditionally prepared, which is for French fries to be salted/seasoned. I asked for a fresh order to be made and seasoned. They told me my fries were fresh and I could get salt on the side amd that they don't season fries and I should ask for my fries to be seasoned. I explained that the seasoning would only adhere to fries that are hot and fresh out of the fryer. They guy and the manager proceeded to argue with me and have a negative attitude and be condescending. Not only is their service subpar, so is their food. Go to Happy Fish on Manchester instead.

*Note to management: your policies and procedures are unorthodox, so to prevent another experience as mine from happening, please ask if a customer wants their fries seasoned when taking phone orders and post signage that is visible to all walk-in customers informing them that French fries are seasoned by request only. Also, your fish has an off taste too it and it is not good. Not sure if it's an issue of freshness or what, but that needs to be taken care of. Also- Also, please inform the mananger that she should not be touching without washing her hands after dredging and frying fish. That is how cross contamination happens. We used to like coming here because the food is delicious. But we won't be back, it's the unwanted looks from all the Women. Yall look at us disgustingly but we spend Cash everytime, we know yall miss us buying 4/5 Prawns. You should check your attitude at the door because customer service is the name of the game. I've been going to this location as well as the one on Arlington. I prefer the LaBrea one. They have more offerings and more specials to choose from. The fish here is excellent. Light NOT greasy at all with just enough seasoning and a light crunch my favorites are the #1 catfish the #3 filet of sole and the #5 jumbo shrimp. They give you big portions too my daughter and I usually share a dinner the only knock on this place is the fries. They kinda suck.
