Holy taco this place is amazing! Upon walking into Guisados we were warmly welcomed in and were asked if this was our first time. We said yes and the lady at the front counter proceed to tell us about their menu/specials along with what is most popular. We found a seat out back where there were plenty of table to choose from. Also noticed the amazing murals they have painted. Nice art work! We went back inside and ordered a little bit of everything which included:
Steak Picado Mole Poblano Camarones(spicy) Bistek en Salsa Roja Ceviche tostada Black beans Horchata Cold Brew
Everything we ate was super delicious. They hand make every single tortilla which makes for an incredibly delicious taco experience. At first bite the tortilla is soft and almost melts in your mouth along with very juicy meat. My son had the shrimp taco which was a little too spicy for his liking but ate it because it was so well prepared. Black beans are pretty good. Mole is to die for and the ceviche tostada was hands down the best and freshest I've ever had. Can't forget to mention the Cold brew Horchata! Wow, super refreshing on a hot day in L.A
All in all we had and incredible experience here along with top notch service. The lady at the front couldn't have been any more informative about the menu. We absolutely loved coming here before watching the Dodgers play the Mariners. We'll...
Read moreMy mom saw this place on Food Network a while ago and I decided to try it. This restaurant is a really casual relaxed place. You walk in the front door and there’s the counter. They have Aguas Frescas which is always a plus. One thing I really like about this place is how fast they serve you. I ordered everything on the menu (except Chiles Toreados) and they got it to me in under 5 minutes. I was just getting comfy in my chair when I received my order. So let’s get down to the food. There are quite a few options on the menu and if you don’t want to try them all I’ll just tell you which are the best.
Try these:
Steak Picado Bistek en Salsa Roja Chicarron Chorizo Calabacitas Quesadilla

My taste rating is really low on this one because I am very familiar with what all these dishes should taste like, I grew up on this type of food, and I’ve had better. The tortilla taste is a bit strong as well. That’s not to say it’s gross, I’m just stating I’ve had better. If I’m in the area and want something quick, yes, I’ll come here. Honestly if you’re not very familiar with Mexican food you’ll probably think this place is the bomb. You’d probably give it a 5 star rating.
If you’re close by, give it...
Read moreFirst timer! (Keep in mind that I didn't look for photos of the food. I was going based on description) My boyfriend and I loved it. We order 6 different tacos. 1 quesadilla. 1 cheese tamal. 2 Large horchatas with light ice. The fish tacos were delicious, but needed some more seasoning for my taste. Still enjoyed them. The chorizo was AMAZING. Tinga taco was tasty.tamales. The Mole taco was superb. The stake taco was good to me, my boyfriend LOVED it. The quesadilla was not what I expected. I expected meted cheese, but it was a thick slice of queso fresco and I ordered it with chorizo. I'm a fan of cheese so I loved the thick slice. I really enjoyed it with the chorizo. So, be aware that its not a melted cheese quesadilla. The tamal was tasty on the inside. The masa (whats its made of) was too crumbly for me. In my tamal making opinion, the mask needs to hold it together and this wasn't doing so as I was cutting into it. Still flavorful just ask for a fork. The tortillas were yello and thick and so tasty alone. We were satisfied overall. Not your taco stand flavor, thats for sure, but its variety of tacos and the Aguas frescas were amazing! Try them out. Enjoy. The chicken in green sauce was not our favorite, not our taste, seemed...
