Wanna be the talk of the potluck party? People will ask over and over again, who brought these little tarts. My goodness!!! The sweet potato pecan and the regular pecan mini tarts are RIDICULOUSLY ADDICTING, I've had company fight over who's going to get the last one. They have other flavors (tarts: lemon, peach and apple) but those 2(pecan) are my favorite. Gwen's bakery can easily be missed as you drive down Labrea. In order to get into their driveway you have to almost come to a complete stop. There is a small hill and Gwen's is nestled in the back, next door to a party supply. I was referred to this Company weeks about by a close friend, who sweared by them. I was disappointed with my visit on 2/27/2016 10:08 am. I arrived with my 17 year old Niece. First we had to wait for the owner to unlock the door. When it was finally unlocked so we could go in, a young lady opened the. I acknowledge her 3 times and still received no response. This was my first time at this location but I've tried the mini tarts at various events.

PROs: quality is worth the price, variety of baked goods, and flavor is not too overwhelming.

CONs: Parking and they sellout.

TAKEAWAY: Plan accordingly, if you have an event call ahead. If you just want to pop-in, anything they have is good --just try it. There is a nice variety of tarts and other sweets at different price points are reasonable but not cheap.
