My partner and I travelled from Australia and opted to stay at the Cornett Motel as it was sort of close to the airport. Just for one night as we planned to head to Vegas the following day.|We arrived at the airport at 6.30pm.||As we walked into our hotel room, it had rubbish inside and there was no working lights except for one lamp. |The condition of the room was VERY POOR!||We mentioned to the front desk that we were looking for a place to buy an international PowerPoint converter for our chargers and to buy some food (after a 15 hour flight). He did not mention that it was unsafe to walk around at night time. ||On our way home from eating some dinner from a fast food restaurant about 500/600m away from our motel approx 9.15pm. We were stopped by 2 men and had robbed us at gun point. We lost both of our passports, both wallets, all of our money and both phones. ||We managed to get away with our lives and ran to another close fast food restaurant who assisted us with contacting the police. We then explained everything to them. Every single person we had spoken to about our situation all questioned as to why we were even staying in the area and mentioned not to stay in Inglewood and Crenshaw as it's almost as bad as Compton. Also the people who work at the motels and hotels are apparently supposed to advise their guests not to walk around at night.||For the next 2 days we had to deal with the Australian and New Zealand consulate, police and the airline we flew on and completely ruined our trip.||All of this occurred 3 hours after landing in Los Angeles from Australia. ||It's definitely worth to stay super close to the airport and paying the extra money! Put your safety first!||I also had photos on my phone of the room, however it had...
Read moreI literally waste my money on this motel. Please keep youself out of it. We travel a lot and made more than 30 reservations through the hotels.com in past 5 years. We stayd in good and bad hotels. It is the worst experience and the only one that we cannot sleep in.
After I checked in, we found the room was so horrible. There are insects (cockroaches and other different insects) all over the place, on floor, on every wall, and in the beds too. The bed sheets and pillow covers have holes and yellow stains. The A/C has no cover. The bathroom window near the roof was open without a screen. We complaint to the motel, their solution was providing a bug spray. We had to left at 11PM.
I don’t know how the motel have 2.5-star. It should only be 1 or at most 1.5-star motel. Please don’t be fooled by the online pictures, which is totally different in reality. It is an old and dirty motel. They use a key not key card. They have no lobby, only a “lobby” sign outside of a small room. The staff stay in the small room without light, and he had to use his cellphone to provide light.
When we were checking in, the staff’s English is not good but communication was fine. When we were complaining, his English suddenly became so bad. He spoken only single words and most of them were not understandable. We talked to the manager over the phone, and he responed “people stayed in the room are just fine” and...
Read moreGuys… PLEASE.. PLEASE don’t stay here. My sister and I were super desperate for a last minute room near SoFi stadium. But it was one of the worst experiences of our life. Roaches, writing on doors and walls… let’s not mention the cigarette stench that drenched the whole room. Super cold that my sister and I had to spoon each other because the sheets were so dirty and unpleasant that we didn’t want to use them. The doors aren’t even sucre that we had to put a table in front of it and hoped and prayed our stuff was still there when we got back. People live there and we’re having confrontations every night. Not safe and extremely ghetto. So PLEASE you can find something cheaper...
