There are no children’s menu’s, so had to order a huge entree for a small child. Ordered the beef kabob and requested it to well done because a child was eating it. It came out rare, and the blood smelled so bad! Had to go get the hostess because the waiter didn’t return to check on us at all. She took the food back into the kitchen. You would think they would just make a fresh one, but nope. They took food that was already touched and they PUT IT BACK ON THE GRILL in the midst of a PANDEMIC! I don’t think I need to express how unsanitary it is to take food that someone already touched from a plate that had been eaten from and place it back on the grill with other people‘s fresh food, especially during a pandemic. When they brought it back, the steak looked like charcoal briquettes. Not even edible. Believe me when I say “burnt to a crisp” is a complete understatement. I don’t know who the cook was, but if the only way you can ensure doneness on steak is by burning it to the point where it looks like charcoal, then you serious can’t cook. I can tell you did not attend culinary school at ALL. It IS possible to cook a well done steak without scorching it. Please go learn how. Also, the turnips were served prematurely. They had not yet pickled, were still partially white, hard, and had no pickles taste. Shawarma sandwiches Contained very little meat, and was mostly onions. I treated, or so I thought I was treating friends to dinner. I was so embarrassed at the conclusion of our dinner....

If I could give them minus stars, I would. Something has changed in this restaurant, it's not the same. I called a day ahead to order a tray of knefeh for a special gathering and it took 3-4 phone calls to get the order straight. The person couldn't tell me the measurements of the different trays they had. She didn't know what "kaak" was for knefeh. Fine 🙄 next day I go to pick up the order and they said that they forgot to make it. They made us wait a while without telling us. We finally asked where the order was and they said they forgot to make it. We would've been standing and waiting longer if we hadn't asked what was taking so long. They ruined our special event. They've lost all family and friends as customers. Lots of competition out there. NO ALTERNATIVES WERE OFFERED, NO APOLOGY WHATSOEVER! This is about an order placed after several phone calls. They were incapable and clueless. We tried to find out the size of the knefeh tray and they couldn't even provide dimensions. All they knew was "full tray or half tray" 😳🤦 They said they didn't know dimensions. So unprofessional and could care less attitude. I highly recommend that you be careful with the way you conduct business because it will bite...

Very good food. Recommend you try it!!!

We had the Vegetarian Combo Platter with hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouli, grape leaves, and falafel.

The hummus tasted mostly fresh and quite good.

Loved the tabouli!! I would go back just for the tabouli.

Liked the baba ghanoush, but it was a bit lacking in flavor. I've had better. The grape leaves were excellent! Well balanced flavors. And the falafel was very good. Not greasy and very tasty. Flavors you will crave.

We also had the chicken and beef kabobs. The chicken was a little overcooked, so it was a bit dry, but the flavors were very good. The beef was not the best quality, but still very good. I recommend both, but wish both had been juicier.

The garlic dipping sauce was excellent. Would prefer more garlic, but it was very good.

The pita was very fresh and very good.

The pistachio baklava was excellent. Very flakey. Makes you want to come back for more.

The staff was very friendly and nice.

Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. A nice dining experience. It gets quite busy.

Pretty small parking lot and limited street parking in this area.

There are a lot of Lebanese restaurants in this area and I recommend you try this one for yourself....

I recently dined at Hayyat Restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a cozy meal or a special celebration. Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the Kabab and Joojeh. The Kabab was grilled to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and just the right amount of char. Each bite was a delightful explosion of spices that left me craving more. The Joojeh, marinated chicken, was equally impressive. It was tender, succulent, and packed with a wonderful blend of herbs and spices. Both dishes were served with a side of fluffy saffron rice and fresh grilled vegetables, which complemented the flavors beautifully. The attention to detail in presentation was also commendable, making the meal not just delicious but visually appealing as well. The service at Hayyat was exceptional; the staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful recommendations. If you’re a fan of authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, I highly recommend visiting Hayyat Restaurant. Their Kabab and Joojeh will surely leave you satisfied and eager to return!

In one word “Ok”. Just regular Arab food nothing extraordinary in my opinion. We ordered lamb chops and grill - family dish. Could have been lot better. Rice was soaking with oil. They gave a very small bowl of pickles when we arrived. Definitely it wasn’t enough for four people. We were going to ask for more but decided not to. But they should have brought at least two small bowls of pickles. We told server to make beef kebabs medium well done and lamb chops medium rare but he brought us lamb chops well done and beef kebabs medium rare. Also they were giving pita bread in plastic bags. They could’ve just cut those pita bread and serve it that way. That would’ve been much more presentable. Hummus was good I have to say. Beside hummus nothing were good. Just ok food. They should have made their restaurant bit more visible though. It was hard to know there is a restaurant.
