I would have loved to give this adorable place 5 stars. Real ceramic dishes made in the usa! Great coffee. Hands down it would have been so easy...but here's what happened. I was so excited to finally try a "chicken fried steak!" And it's on the menu here at a somewhat reasonable price so I went for it. I could blame my expectations but after googling a bit...I was right. It's supposed to be a real steak, pounded thin and prepared lime fried chicken. What I got was not that. It was chopped meat A pattie NOT Steak! You can see in the photos it was anything BUT a steak. I don't know what it was but it was Nauseating! I told my waitress I'll pay for the standard breakfast without the steak-wannabe. My waitress was AMAZING!! That's why the 5 stars on service. But the shift manager came over with an attitude (like it's my fault) trying to explain that this is southern food. I showed her what Google had to say and offered to pay for what I ate minus the steak. I think she was shocked at how fair I was. She credited me the $4 difference but taxed me on the full amount 🤔 It's pennies. I know. But it psst me off anyway. I was waiting on a coffee refill and she refused to make eye contact. Finally a busboy passed by and brought coffee. I won't go back because of the shift manager. What a shame. The owner still claims it's a "steak" but it's a chopped beef(?) pattie. 100% not a pounded steak. So if you go...just get something else.

Stopped in yesterday for my first time and I had the biggest Chicken Fried Steak that I’ve ever had, and one of the better ones I’ve ever tasted. Henri’s is an old school classic LA diner in the valley with great service and fair prices. They have a small free parking lot in the back, but it was full when I arrived so I had to find neighborhood parking. There was about a 20 minute wait when I arrived, but I was dining solo so I took a seat at the counter and was able to sit immediately when I arrived. My server was extremely polite and was extremely fast with the coffee refills. It’s quite large on the inside and they have many different booths and tables as well as a large counter, which is where I sat. For my meal I chose the Chicken Fried Steak Special, which is a larger version of the one that they have on the menu. It was honestly a giant sized chicken fried steak and had a side of hashbrowns and toast and two eggs. It was honestly delicious and a very large meal that I couldn’t even finish. I had a strong cup of coffee on the side all for $25 so it was a very fairly priced and filling meal. I would suggest to anyone and would say that this is one of my favorite diners in the valley.

It was our first and last time here, looked up some breakfast places and Henri’s foods looked good on pictures and saw that they had a 4.5 stars so came in and gave it a shot, we had a party of, it was a Sunday, got sat right away, the hostess took our drinks orders, we got 3 coffees and it was not hot at all, the waiter came over after and realized that someone else had already beat her to drinks orders, asked if we was ready to order and we wasn’t, it took a while for her to come back, we ordered our food and that also took a while so we asked a busser if they can go check on our food for us and magically our food was ready and on the way, the waiter dropped the food off and didn’t come back to check to see if everything was okay by the time she did I was already done with the place and asked for the bill, the food was alright nothing special the service can be a lot better tho.

It was my first time eating here. it was a pleasant experience .the hostess seated us .our server was prompt to welcome us and ask if we would like a beverage ,we then proceeded to browsed the menu which wasn't overwhelming with to many different choices like some of the more mainstream restaurants .there was a nice variety of different food choices.I took forever deciding what I was going to eat.our server was quite patient, checking back often . Finally I decided on breakfast. My order was reasonably priced around 12 dollars. It didn't take long for my food to be prepared and served to our table .maybe 8-10 minutes .It felt a bit overwhelming once i had recieved my meal which consisted of 2 French toast, 2 pancakes, 2 eggs,2 bacon, 2 sausage, and hash browns.it was made to be served onto two plates.I didnt know we're to start ! Plus I wasn't able to finish eating everything that came with my meal. The food tasted fresh to order, while retaining a good amount of heat making the food hot to the touch ,and it tasted great. I was very happy, knowing I wouldn't have to flag my server down to make a request to have my meal reheated. But even if that was the case(which it wasn't)I don't think I would have had to wait for more then a few seconds for my server to see that I needed assistance .unlike other corporate/ franchise establishments that never check back on their customers once their meal has been served !I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends & family .As well as anyone reading this review that might decide to try it out...

Today around noon my family and I visited henris for the first time from out of state. From the beginning we didn’t get to sit together we were sat at different tables it was inconvenient but with it being busy we understood. Three workers came up to us without introduction so we were all confused who our server was, while ordering drinks they took the first half our tables drinks without acknowledging us. It would have been nice for them to communicate with each other that we were all together. We had to flag down a diff worker to get our drink orders as well. While ordering our meals, we had a few questions about the menu to ask and JOY the waitress seemed very disinterested and didn’t have much to say back when asked about the menu. That was the start, two of our meals came out wrong and we immediately corrected it but it came with attitude and body language. We were all disappointed since we love taking care of our service workers plus being someone who currently manages and serves at two restaurants, this was by far the worst service I received in long long time. The rest of the staff were all good I will mention. SNATCHING the cash and signed receipt while we are still sitting at the table, JOY your tip reflected your...
