Himalaya's Momo — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I have heard of and seen episodes of travel shows dedicated to the food of Nepal , and it’s always been something I’ve wanted to try in its sincere authentic form.

The cooks were extremely friendly and helped me get a cultural understanding of what I was blessed to enjoy.

I had the pani puri to start , with a wonderful mint-cilantro juice of sorts that you pour into the center for a refreshing and flavorful punch in the taste buds. I had wished I had gotten a double order but that went for everything I tried.

Next was the Chicken Hakka , which I ordered with spice and was some of the best fried noodles of any kind I’ve had. The spices and flavor just kept unraveling until I sat there for a few minutes realizing I had finished , but still on that rollercoaster ride.

The same can be said of the Chicken Chilly , which consisted of hearty pieces of chicken , heavily spiced and tossed in a sauce along with red onion and green peppers. The Chicken Hakka had me speeding in my seat but the Chicken Chilly had me contemplating if I had ascended to another realm of being.

From the flavor , to the atmosphere given by the trucks colorful outside and the friendliness of the workers , I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to Nepalese food.

Improvement post I will share my experience today we ordered 1 steam momo 1 chili chicken 1 chicken Hakka noodles 1 chili Momo I order my food 8:41 pm and I got my food around 9:50 today it’s take long time to get the food I believe there was some issue to taking orders and giving food , there was 3 or 4 people’s order takes long time to get there food. But really thanks to the owner she came right on time she was very helpful and apologized to everyone. After she came everybody start getting their food. She acknowledge the problem and assure us she will fix the issue. I really appreciate her approach I really like the momo it was so testy I would recommend there stem momo I will give them 4/5. Chili momo was also good 3.5/5. Chili chicken 3/5. Chicken Hakka noodles noodles need improvement it was salty I understand it was rush hour but I really hope next time I will get better

But overall I understand problem happens. Everyday is not same I think it was bad day for me but I really believe they will overcome and the owner will try her best because I saw she is very passionate and very humble with customers I will visit again and try there...

Absolutely amazing Nepalese food truck!

I tried the Jhol Momo, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—the broth was rich and flavorful, and the steamed momos were soft, juicy, and packed with taste. I also got the plain steamed momos and the chicken Hakka noodles, both of which were delicious. The noodles had the perfect balance of spice and flavor.

The chai tea was incredible—warm, perfectly spiced, and so comforting. My son loved everything we ordered, which made the experience even better! I also saw the Pani Puri, and it looked amazing—I’m definitely trying it next time.

Beyond the food, the service is excellent. The owners are friendly, welcoming, and more than happy to answer any questions about the menu, which is great if you’re new to Nepalese cuisine. The atmosphere around the truck is inviting, and the parking is super easy, which is always a plus.
