Great gluten free choices but quality is very lacking and they charge more than menu price. Maybe because its burrito discount Wed but don't be decieved by prices. Not worth the argument with not very friendly people. Pay 6.49 for chips and small cup of either sweet green salsa or super hot red. And $12 for a very small gluten free burrito that has flavorless asada. But the Churros are AMAZING!!! Next time I will try the gluten free chicken sandwich. Hoping thats worth it or I will only be stopping here for churros. Maybe they get away with this because there aren't many gluten free locations like it so celiac keep coming back

I always try and remember HUGOS is ONLY good for the Churros. Yes you can get vegan, vegetarian and gluten free there but after today I really don't think it's worth it. Service isn't great and food is bland, no flavor, lack of salsa and when I asked for salsa for 3 tiny burritos with very little meat, I get 1 small half full tiny cup. After tip , i spent $84 on 3 burritos, 2 drinks and 3 churros. Seems pretty steep for bland food and half way decent service. From now on the amazing GF Churros will be our only purchase

Leave your expectations at the ordering window… When I lived in West Hollywood, Hugo’s was one of my go-to local eateries - never a bad meal. I’m visiting my bff. We just drove by Hugo’s Tacos in Atwater Village, so it made me smile when he said, “Let’s try it.” I had the burrito Al pastor. My friend a mushroom taco and a fish taco. The food was sooo bland and blah, just like the service. The outdoor eating area is unkept. My friend said he doesn’t like leaving bad reviews but “Hugo’s” Tacos was quite misleading.

We ordered tacos de carne asada. Although the tacos were larger then average(they use a standard size tortilla, not the taquiza smaller size), the tacos themselves were average in taste. Ultimately you're paying for the size of the portion, not what should be a flavorful taco. Tacos were a bit under $4.00 each or three for $10.00. I opted for the three taco option. Order came to just under $29.00 for six tacos de asada and two bottled(Mexican) Cokes. Side note, considering you're paying a higher price for average tacos, you would think they'd make it up to you with a higher standard of customer service, but unfortunately that's not the case. Service was average, if not subpar. I usually prefer not to overly critique a small, hard working, private food servicer, but when that service provider overcharges(in my opinion), and lags in quality customer service, it's then time to let others know. Money doesn't always come easily earned for everyone. So choosing where to spend it shouldn't be...

Overpriced. The tacos were overall filled to the top with its respective protein but the salsa cilantro and onions felt sparse, the location was nothing special but it did feel like a traditional hole-in-the-wall taqueria. I ordered 3 carnitas tacos with avocado salsa, the carnitas were very densely packed and due to the pact nature of the taco a little unbalanced and very difficult to swallow, the salsa was good if not a little thin, and the gluten free tortilla had that hard to describe gluten free after taste gluten free tortillas often have, but the portion sizes were filling if not extremely overpriced Al Pastor was good but greasier than the usual. Overall good...

This place is odd. They use quality ingredients and obviously spend time on their food preparation and salsas.

The odd part is the flavors; the tacos and burritos are just not that good. The salsas do not help, as they seem poorly matched to the dishes. I got green salsa on chicken and carnitas. It was more like a bitter "citrus-ey" chutney than a salsa. It's was particularly bad with the carnitas but wasn't great with the chicken either.

I got a red salsa last week with an asada bowl: it was sweet and hot like bbq sauce. Really more of a mole than a salsa. Not my style.

High grade food but the flavors are "el...
