Amazing! We ordered a guava slice of cake and a horchata slice of cake both cost 4.50 per slice and we're tremendous! Horchata was more creamy custard and sweeter than the guava which was fluffy light and more refreshing. We also bought two pastries one with guava and one with cream. I highly recommend the guava pastries!!! Both my partner and I agreed it had more flavor and was more unique.
This location had at least one seat with an outlet in case you want to do work. It was a pleasant atmosphere. They also sold tortas and a wide array of coffees. Can't wait to go back and try all their baked goods. Will be ordering their cakes for special occasions.
It's worth noting they have another location half a mile away, east of the 110. We didn't know that and walked to the further one lol. Please note, this one is part of Mariachi plaza do it's great for people watching and relaxing.

Read moreMy sister ordered the Horchata cake for her birthday from the Highland Park location. It was not good in my opinion. More on the dry side. I needed to get my coworker a cake for her birthday so I stopped by the Boyle Heights location. I knew you were allowed to sample cakes from my sister so I tried a few before I chose the Tres Leches.
To be honest, all the samples sucked besides the Guava Cake! They were dry and flavorless. I needed a cake and the safest bet was Tres Leches. Lone behold, when we ate the cake that day, it was moist and delicious !!!!
I came to the conclusion that the sample cake slices dried out and all became tasteless. Not sure if they were covered or just thrown in the fridge on the tray she presented. Either way, I know my Tres Leches was freshly delivery that day. (Not sure which location made it.) I will be back for that...
Read moreI was looking for a close by coffee shop to grab a pastry while I got my car washed and came across this cute coffeeshop right in front of the mariachi plaza. This area has a long history and if you get a chance I would come and explore! Anyways I went in thinking l there was going to be a small pastry selection but I was wrong! There was a ton of Mexican pastries that looked delicious!! They even have vegan bakery options!!! I had the soy chorizo burrito (6.99) and it was delicious! It has soy chorizo, potatoes, some kind of delicious gravy type sauce. I also got some guava cheese croissants that I'm going to have later. I didn't get any coffee but will definitely try to next time I'm in this part of town. They also have cake (full size and slices). Lots of dulce de...
