Le Bon Patissier — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I was in today to buy a cake for Easter and witnessed an argument from the owner and a customer. The customer was a calm man in his mid to late 50’s. He politely asked for a refund because the pastries he bought were old. The owner came out and began to RAGE. Was screaming at the poor man, reached over the counter and hit him at one point in the chest, and was throwing filled pastry boxes and bags of bread at the poor guy. The man’s young daughter was there and was VISIBLY shaken and upset, she began to scream at the owner trying to defend her father. I tried to intervene and calm the owner down. It did not work. The female workers tried to keep working and did not help the customer, but pushed him out and made him leave. At one point the owner came to the front of the shop and the women working there had to hold him back. The daughter (about 14) called the cops in tears outside. I will never go in again. What cruel people. Not only was the cake dry, flavorless, stale and crumbly beyond belief, but the staff was gathered in the window laughing hysterically at a poor, unfortunate, very mentally ill, homeless woman whose shopping cart had a broken wheel. The poor lady was trying to push the cart off the sidewalk but it wouldn't move. She was clearly very mentally I'll and very agitated and the security guard was yelling at her. The bakery workers were all watching through the window, laughing and making fun of her and even imitating her. I said something to them and left, and gave the remainder of my baked goods to the homeless woman. I will NEVER patronize these rude, mean heartless...

DO NOT GO HERE the food is stale and they sell old food that we were going to feed to children but could’ve poisoned them, it had a terrible smell and even worse taste. When we went back to get a refund and we were denied it then the owner came out and physically pushed us and then tried throwing a tip jar at my 15 year old daughter.
