This location opens tomorrow and I can't wait to try it out. I spoke to the Owner 3 days ago and he told me he has food trucks in operation in Santa Monica. This location was previously a Pizza place called Robbie Macs Pizza that had moved there from Ventura Boulevard and Van Nuys Boulevard. I'll be going there tomorrow to try their food. Will post details after my visit.
The opening was delayed a few days but it did open last Monday. My wife and I arrived late morning on Monday to try the food and see the improvements the new owner had made from the last Restaurant that was there. It looks clean in the eating areas and in the kitchen. Plenty of light inside from the large windows. It looks totally freshened up. There was a lady in the front who took our order and 2 chefs in the kitchen. There is a large menu showing photos of the different foods offered which is unique. We ordered 2 Chicken Tacos and 1 Chicken Burrito. Our order came up in a timely fashion and we sat down to eat. We were not disappointed as the food quality was very good. The 2 kinds of Salsa were excellent and added to the already good tasting food. It wasn't crowded at all and there is outdoor seating as well. Prices are reasonable, service good, and the food was delicious. We will definitely return again to try their other dishes. Highly...
Read moreUPDATE: this place has chaaaanged!!! We ordered 2 of the birria taco combos, which i have ordered many times before and the tocos were much smaller plus they didn't come with the soup. We also got carne asada fries and it was more of a carne asada salad with fries. No melted cheese, no guacamole only slices of Avocado, tomato, onions and cilantro. It was so disappointing, we orderd carne asada fries from somewhere else. The worst part is this meal cost us $50. I will honestly never go back, which is disappointing considering my original review below and that I live walking distance
This place is awesome! Im so happy to have a delicious Mexican food restaurant walking distance! I've eaten at this place twice now and both times it was amazing! The first time we had the carne asada fries and a few street tacos which were all delicious! We destroyed the carne asada fries! The second time we got breakfast burritos (breakfast served ALL DAY!) and they were dangerously delicious. This place deserves your business! Its one of our new...
Read moreIt’s great that a Mexican food restaurant took over this space as the prior business was weird and outrageous with the pricing and consistency. I am not too keen on their pricing structure as well, but brick & mortar in Sherman Oaks, it makes sense. I got birria tacos and 2 hot dogs and it like $23. Didn’t feel right. Basic hot dogs for little kids, 3 tacos with consumé. Tacos tasted good, nothing special specifically. I’m very well versed in tacos and tastes. I ordered a couple of breakfast burritos last week and ended up throwing them away because they were just awful. The staff seem friendly and I will be trying other food here going forward and really give them a...
