MEZE — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Not really a good first choice or second if you really had an alternative.

I have not given Meze a second try since my first visit years ago, and I vowed not to review places with only a single visit. Unfortunately, a second chance meeting didn't really surpass the mediocre impressions from before.

Underwhelmingly average, the kabobs are under seasoned, bland, and can be a bit mealy. Maybe it is turnover, or maybe their version is made as such. Just a stone's throw away across the LA River are far better choices. Sides and accompaniments are also okay, but there are details ignored like properly dressing a salad. Most disappointing was rice seemed under cooked and possibly a day old.

If you are in great need of a Mediterranean meal then by all means, but Meze misses the mark on so many things just to deliver a subpar...

It's a nice place ,friendly staff ,but if u wanna compare it to other Mediterranean restaurants it's bad I ordered 3 plates lamb and beef kebab with an extra chicken wings , the chicken was black from the inside , the taboulleh salad it looks like the real tabbouleh but it's not even close to its taste ,specially I come from a country specialized in tabboulleh . The hommos was the worst ever I'm sorry but it's the truth. I'm an honest man and this is an honest review I would never try this restaurant...

This was a fantastic place to visit after a long day of moving a friend from one side of LA to another. The food was fresh and extremely tasty. The staff was patient in explaining the menu. We went around 5pm on a Saturday and it was quiet, had the place to ourselves for a good 15-20 minutes.
