Not really a good first choice or second if you really had an alternative.
I have not given Meze a second try since my first visit years ago, and I vowed not to review places with only a single visit. Unfortunately, a second chance meeting didn't really surpass the mediocre impressions from before.
Underwhelmingly average, the kabobs are under seasoned, bland, and can be a bit mealy. Maybe it is turnover, or maybe their version is made as such. Just a stone's throw away across the LA River are far better choices. Sides and accompaniments are also okay, but there are details ignored like properly dressing a salad. Most disappointing was rice seemed under cooked and possibly a day old.
If you are in great need of a Mediterranean meal then by all means, but Meze misses the mark on so many things just to deliver a subpar...
