Mi Carbonero — Restaurant in Los Angeles

We recently found this place and were very pleased with their food and wanted to come back and order again which we did today, we called in an order for pick up we drove to the restaurant to pick up the food. We are greeted by a women with red hair wearing a black chefs hat and coat, we asked for our order and she responded that there was no order under that name , we insist that we called at this location and the women started raising her voice (speaking Spanish) being very rude talking nonstop without allowing me to speak to her so I asked for her manager she responded by saying she has no manager so I asked for the owner’s contact number she replied there’s no owner! So I asked her again please provide me with the owners contact number, she starts giving me a 15 digit phone number??? And when I tell her that’s not a phone number then she gives me another number I called and left a message on that number I’m sure it was another made up number she gave me. I’m very disappointed by the way she talked to us and didn’t not appreciate the tone or attitude and unprofessionalism of that woman who has no tact or manners at all!! We would have been ur loyal customer who spends a lot in food that we like! We love ur food but we rather go where we are treated with courtesy and respect...

This little hole in the wall makes THE BEST PUPUSAS and the family who operates the restaurant goes out of their way to accommodate your order. They were definitely gracious enough to serve us right before closing time, and even went further to make me a licquado/raspado when they were mostly out of fruit, and I think I ended up with a banana and guava, I'm not too sure I just know it was AMAZING. The pupusas were even better, HUGE, and DELICIOUS, which was what the entire group said. We tried all three varieties.

I went in 20 minutes before closing when you’d expect the worst service but actually I received the best service! After my terrible experience with Mi Casita on Vanowen and Kester, I came here as my last resort. My pupusas were filled with flavor and not dry at all, the sauce was great and the curtido could of been better it takes more refrigerated.
