Not having a bathroom for customers to use very quickly killed my excitement for trying the place. I found it when I was researching places to try in LA, and my bf can't eat meat, so I chose this spot cause he can't get much from McDonald's ever. The food actually was really good. The fries and the not actually a big Mac sandwich were spot on but actually even a bit better than the originals. The food was good, our service was great. The person behind the counter gave excellent service. Went with my bf, mom, and brother. We didn't want to eat too much, so we got sandwiches to share. Was weird there was zero utensils for customers to use to cut their own sandwiches, but the workers were kind enough to cut our burgers for us so we could all just sample. We all really loved the food. The price wasn't bad for the amount we got, and I loved that the sandwiches came with nuggs. It still seems very wrong a restaurant could get away with no bathroom for customers. I thought it was a food requirement to allow guests a restroom to wash hands, and also food and drink makes people go, and things happen. It's ridiculous to not provide a restroom for customers. Seems like a health code violation to me. The workers deserve 5 stars for service, but the accomodations - lack of took away from the service, which wasn't the workers faults but the company and every other restaurant here denying people bathrooms. It's honestly gross to deny people bathrooms- on a sanitation level, and on basic human decency because we all need to go. It shouldn't be hard to have empathy for folks needing to pee...

I love finding a great new vegan spot, and I also love a fun, unique idea!
It’s super easy to order - they have kiosks to use if you don’t want to do it at the front register. I used one of the kiosks and tried on of the meals and my food was ready within minutes. The atmosphere is also super fun - I love all the inverted McDonald’s theming with the logo on the outside and the bright red and yellow everywhere. It’s super colorful and bright inside of the restaurant. There’s not seating inside - it’s mostly for takeout, although there’s some seating outside you could use if you wanted to.
The packaging for the food was also super fun, with the happy meal style boxes. It was a little bit pricey for one of the combo meals, but they all come with fries, nuggets, and a drink as well, so they were pretty satisfying, in my opinion. As for the food itself, I thought it was great!! I wouldn’t have known at all that I was eaten all vegan food if someone had just handed it all to me. The burger, nuggets, and fries all were very filling and tasted BETTER than McDonald’s would. I was very impressed and pleased to find a great vegan fast-food type place (Veggie Grill is pretty good but the burgers can be a bit hit-or-miss).
All in all, an excellent spot with great theming and great vegan fast-food that I would definitely recommend...

I was driving around and was ready for lunch. I didn't have a destination in mind. I was letting the muse guide me. Mr. Charlie's was where I wound up, and what a pleasant, delicious surprise! They are not the only vegan burger chain that take a sarcastic jab at the golden arches. It seems to be a popular theme for vegan places.
They really lean into their design, and I loved it. Very colorful and clever. It is eye-catching and draws you in. Red as the dominant color is bold and uncompromising. The decor is also fun and entertaining.
But I was there for the food. Their combo meals, which include nuggets and a specialty drink for a good price, are very appreciated. I went for the Big Chuck, and it was filling, tasty, and made fresh. The fries, which came with dipping sauce, were amazing. The nuggets are a great addition to an already great meal. As the world slowly turns to more vegan options, places like Mr. Charlie's make it easier for folks to see the benefits of a vegan meal also can be delicious and affordable.
I was there on Sunday and just parked on the street out front. I didn't see a parking lot, but this location likely will be easy to find street parking any time...
