I hate to leave this experience but I have to be honest. I use to love this place. Been a customer 12 years. I moved and came back and the quality of the food changed completely. I had a horrible experience with a patty melt that was disgusting undercooked and the super mini wings that seemed as if they had been pre cooked and re heated in the air fryer which made them over cooked. Since I use to always come to this place and never had an issue I tried to give them an opportunity to fix the issue. Instead I got people who were friendly but lacked the ability to accept accountability and refused to replace the order. I mean we did pay 60.00 for 25 wings, fries, and a patty melt 🤔. They only offered to replace the wings in which they deliberately gave me low quality food. Very very very disappointed In this establishment they are not what they use to be and I wouldn't recommend anyone come here.Everyone who has had it that i shared the food with recently disliked the quality as did I. I don't ever see myself returning here.

Respone to you response: HOW ABOUT SOME ACCOUNTABILITY. You can't Rip people off not fix it and expect good reviews. The quality has changed we are over charged for poor quality Food. I did absolutely havE this big of a problem. Or you think I write this for no reason. I did not take time to write a review for no reason. 60 dollars for 2 items is over priced and if you going to charge that much it should be perfection which It was not. you are clearly serving precooked wings and reheating them in the air fryer look at the other reviews im not alone. Then i gave you an opportunity to rectify the issue and you had the audacity to try and short change me instead of just fixing the issue. Left a bad taste in my mouth just like the reheated wings. I Use to love you guys but no one wants to over pay for rushed food that had no effort put into it. You are the owner please check your...

Delicious wings that for the most part lived up to the hype and expectations I came in with because of the reviews on this site!

First of all, it's on one of the most crowded parts of Melrose, right by La Brea, and parking is all but impossible, with the only option being street parking. We ended up finding a neighborhood street that was about a ten minute walk away that allowed for non-residents to park on, as a lot of the streets around it have signs saying 'NO PARKING, permit holders exempt'.

As for the place itself, the interior is pretty simple and sparse, but is still nice and clean, so is comfortable to sit and eat in. If you're ordering to go, you go up to the counter, if you're dining in, you can just take a seat at one of the tables and wait for them to come to you. Our server was very friendly and helpful!

The food itself, in my opinion, was quite delicious. My boyfriend thought that the wings were a bit tough while eating them, and they were a bit pricy for just a few wings. I guess that's what happens when a place becomes extremely popular.

For the most part, I was very pleased. The wings were very good, the service great, but parking was all but impossible and the prices were a bit on the high end, considering it was just...

A lot of people like)love the wings here. I don't consider myself a wing connoisseur by any means so please take my review lightly. With that being said... I ordered 3 wing flavors: buffalo, bbq and lemon pepper. I had ranch and blue cheese dressing as well as onions rings and fried zucchini. The dressings are pretty good. They taste homemade. They're a good consistency and are seasoned well. The onion rings and zucchini were good and paired well with the dressings. The breading on the zucchini was spot on. The onion rings in the other hand had a little difficulty adhering to the batter but still were good. The wings...let's see how I can put this... I tried bbq first. I didn't care for the sauce at all. I was looking for a sweeter taste. It was very tomatoish to me. I moved to buffalo next. It was good. I feel like it met all the expectation of a traditional style buffalo wings. It was just enough spice for me to need a celery stick afterwards. Lemon pepper didn't disappoint either. I think it may have been my favorite. The lemon flavor was pungent yet natural. I've had some really artificial tasting lemon pepper wings and it is the Worst. So overall decent meal. I've had better. Heck, I've even made wings at home that were...

Terrible experience and it makes me so sad cause it use to be fire. I'm an LA native and went to both the Middle and High School on Melrose. Been eating Hot Wings forever (I'm 35). Ordered there last night on Sunday 5/24. Takeout wasn't ready when they said it would, waited an extra 15min passed the 30min initial wait. Got it home (only 8min drive) to find boxes of cold mushy food. Why did we wait so long if the food was going to be cold? Not hot, not warm, cold. We literally had to take everything out the box and re-cook the entire meal ourselves. I ordered takeout so I would have to cook😬 Unfortunately we couldn't save the hard, unseasoned, undercooked, fries. We revived the crunch but weirdly the onion were sliding out of the batter once the skillet was hot and it was just a mess. I don't know what's going on. This place use to be so fire. Maybe it was just a childhood memory cause outside of the chicken/fish, nothing had a flavor. I hate to say it but Hot Wings is no longer worth the money. In an attempt to end on a good note, the waiter was nice. Hope this helps someone. If you don't mind recooking/seasoning the food at home, go for it👍🏽

Hot Wings Cafe delivers on flavor but could work on consistency. The fried zucchini was absolutely phenomenal—crispy, flavorful, and an easy standout that I’d highly recommend to anyone. The large 16-piece bone-in chicken wings were mostly enjoyable, complemented by delicious ranch and blue cheese dips. However, some of the wings were disappointingly small, barely more than a bite, and they seemed overcooked or perhaps left sitting out, as they arrived a bit cold and hard. Despite these small setbacks, the overall experience was still satisfying, and the food was undeniably tasty. At $38 for the meal delivered just 8 minutes away, it’s not cheap, but the quality of the fried zucchini and the flavorful sauces made it worth considering another visit. Hot Wings Cafe has great potential, and while there’s room for improvement in the wing preparation, it remains a solid choice for chicken wing enthusiasts.
