This would not be my first choice to go. However, since I work across the street, I figured I would give it a try. The service was okay. No one was friendly, just cordial. It is a small location with limited seating options. The food is kinda hit and miss. With the price of eating out going up what feels like every day, the flavor of the food means so much. The flavor of the food at this location is on the bland side. The pancake breakfast is good and filling. The breakfast burrito is fine. However, I have had better, and there are better options available. Overall that's the grade I would give Mexicanos 3030, if you are short on time and work close by, it's okay, if you are looking for a restaurant to have a good tasting meal and relax there are other options. Updated 8/13/2023. Horrible customer service. It wasn't even that busy, and the service is terrible. I waited over an hour for the food. Which reminds me before I forget never ever pay a tip up front. Waiters and waitress never live up to a tip that is paid for a take out order. The lady that helped me didn't deserve the $5.00 tip o left and I should have been reimbursed for the tip as well but the only thing I got reimbursed for was a breakfast that I never got. I am so sorry that this place has a high rating that it does. Even the burrito I got should say rice burrito because, as you can see, that's all that is in there. Major disappointment today. The owner should be ashamed. He failed...
Read moreIf you are looking for high quality mexican food, this is the place for you. Small sitdown resturant that i can say is one of my top 3 resturants to eat at. Chips and salsa are served right when you sit. Their 3 salsas are terrfic and full of flavor. The light green cliantro/avacado salsa is my favorite. It has a nice bite, as to spicyness, to it as well. My favorite item to order, which i get almost 8 out of 10 times i go there, i go here alot by the way, is the majado buritto. In english its called the wet burrito. Carne asada is my choice of meat. You can get green or red sauce. I personally get half red and half green. Service is great. The ambiance that the resturant gives is unique. The decorations are special and i have not seen or been to a place like it. One of visits, i was fortunate enough to see the chef when she came out for something. To my surprise, the chef was in her full chef outfit; with the tall hat as well. I give this resturant 5 out of 5 stars. Oh yea, do not get detoured or pursuaded by all the food trucks, they are all junk compared to...
Read moreTwo pork tamales for $3 flat! For $1.50 each, they're definitely good size tamales! The taste of the tamale was alright, but the thing that really made it GOOD was their salsa... especially their RED salsa!
There's a choice between the red and the green salsa. The green salsa resembles a watered down guacamole. The red salsa is the typical salsa Mexican joints give. The reason why this red one is sooooo good is because you can tell this is homemade since there's still remnants of the soften chile skin in the salsa. They both pack good heat, but the green one ends with a smoother finish. It's probably a good salsa for their other menu offerings.
For eating the pork tamale, I preferred the red one since it's almost like the stuff they use to marinate the meat in. I got my order to-go, but I will definitely consider eating at the restaurant next time. It feels like a small mom and pop place and the folks that work there are pretty nice.
I'll...
