Super cool spot that my yelp friend Rashmi V recommended that I dine at. She had an event here couple of months ago. Infelicitously, due to scheduling conflicts, we could not attend.
Setup: I placed my order at the counter with an astronomically personable employee. I injuctively authorized a commixed Gyro and Fried Fish (Dine in order # 89). Yelp checkin gets you a free soda, so I availed myself to a Sprite and took a seat. Employee called my number within couple of minutes of injuctively authorizing. There were several orders that were placed while I was relishing my pabulum. They were mostly to go. There were no fewer than 2 Uber victuals drivers that picked up aliment during my stay. Restaurant appeared to be very diligent with order intake. The whole process was very efficient as orders were being consummated very expeditious. After I consummated victualing my aliment, I placed an order to go. That order was additionally prepared and packaged very expeditious.
Cuisine: Victuals was superfunkyridiculicious. Affirmative, I made that word up for victuals I dote! It was that good. I dote lamb. It is my default order at any Mediterranean restaurant. The lamb here is up there with the best of them. It had so much flavor by itself. Paired with their sauce, it was a notch above impeccable. Chicken was very well marinated and tasted like how a chicken should be cooked. Not crunchy (overcooked), not rubbery (under-cooked), just for the right time and temperature to keep it moist, tender and absolutely a delectation when you bite into it. Fried fish was simple. It was accommodated piping sultry. A little Citric acid, and a little sauce was all that was needed to plow it away. I brought back 2 platters to work and 1 home. Colleague who is not adventurous absolutely doted their commix platter. Mrs. doted the chicken, and rice. She felt like the rice tastes just like Biriyani. Ian additionally doted the flavor in their chicken.
Overall I was profoundly slaked with everything I had eaten at the restaurant. The probability of all menu items being proficient at a restaurant is very low, but Incipient York Chicken and Gyro bucks the trend!
Portions are very good value for their price. Homogeneous portions that taste half as good as this place are $4 to $5 more at other restaurants.
There is constrained parking in this diminutive plaza. There are only 4 four seat tables and 3 bar stools. There is no public restroom. All this gives an authentically aperture in the wall, mom and pop owned restaurant feel that I absolutely dig. I am all for fortifying local businesses and this has my vote for providing flavorful victuals. I...

Ordered the mix gyro sandwich combo with a side of falafel ~$20. I had countless gyro / chicken and rice platters and sandwiches in my life as this is one of my favorite foods. Primarily these have mostly been in places around NYC since I grew up in NJ most of my life. Therefore, you can call me a type of expert. With that said, I was surprised on how good New York Chicken & Gyro is and whether they can claim NY in part of their name. The short answer is yes.
This was one of the better mixed gyro sandwiches and I highly recommend it. The meat tenderizes from every bite and the soft pita goes along with the texture. The lamb is not gamy at all and has a similar flavor as the good gyro houses. The white sauce provides loads of flavor and as always, I drenched the gyro in more. The fries are crunchy just how I like it. However, and the reason for not 5 stars, the falafel was slightly disappointing...it wasn't as cooked as I bite towards the center. It started tasting slightly uncooked and mushy as how it is made. If the falafel was cooked thoroughly, it seems it may be a top contender as well. Highly looking forward to trying their platters.
Parking is limited and dangerous. The lot is narrow and some of the lanes create a blind spot. The interior is hipster like. It has a cool graffiti design plaquered onto the walls and floor but on purpose and the...
Read moreThis was my first time browsing this area in the six years that I lived here, and this was the first place that I decided to roll the dice on! I wasn't disappointed at ALL. I felt welcomed in as soon as I walked in by the hip hop music being played and by the staff, which is a huge plus for me personally. It felt like New York City in there, as odd as that sounds. I wanted to get a chicken gyro but as soon as I asked the cashier about the chicken wings, he told me that I had to get them. The chicken gyro was great....but the wings?!!....the Drip Wings specifically.....whoa. I don't think I've ever had wings better than that, and I LOVE chicken wings. The owner seemed like a great guy as he shared a short story with me about him moving out here after living in NYC for 30 plus years. I could tell that he lived there for so long because he has great people skills hahaha. He even told me about the amazing artwork on the wall, which I thought was very appealing and went along with the overall ambiance. I even love how their televisions are positioned on the wall, so that no matter where you sit, anyone can be entertained. Very strategic. I will also add that their pickup and delivery system is not only on point, but you get you food literally within minutes! I was definitely impressed by that part. Can't wait to come back here again, being that the owner said that I was welcomed...
