Instant Replay — Restaurant in Los Angeles

My husband and i love this place, but unfortunately the last time we were there was a complete disaster. On 01.21 we came just for one beer to try by the recommendation of our friend. There was a blonde bartender, who we think didn't really like our staying there. Mind you, we've been there several times and the experience was great! We came from another country and we had our passports with us, not id's. She immediately said "oh of course you have the passports". She seemed a bit drunk and very much passive-aggressive but we didn't pay much attention to it bc we went just for one new beer we wanted to try. Then she proceeded to ask questions, and every comment on our answers seemed off. She said she must close her shift so we need to pay right away, which is perfect considering that we wanted to head home. We signed the check and gave it to her, we didn't leave any tips that day for our personal reasons. She then started to ask us continuously why we didn't leave any tip for her and that "here in states you MUST leave a tip no matter what, the government takes it all from us, it's not your mother country and it's not europe, if you're here you must leave a tip". We know about the tip policy, and we leave them almost every other time but this evening we felt like she was not really friendly with us, she seemed really passive-aggressive towards us. After we said multiple times that we cannot leave a tip, she said we are not welcomed at that bar and no one will serve us next time. Again, we've been at this place multiple times and we absolutely love it, the beer and staff and everything is just perfect, we come with friends of ours and every time it was great. That day we left the place with a bad feeling, great to know her shift ends at 8pm so we'll never come across her again. Great bar, good beer, the staff is amazing except for this one person, sorry. I guess we'll have to come after...

I’d give a 0 star if that rating was available. This is the epitome of a classless dive bar. Server wouldn’t come to the table. We were asked if we wanted a drink by patrons because they said he won’t leave the bar area.

There was no food. No one made you feel welcomed.

My friend had an over poured patron spill his whole drink on him. The bartender/owner…who ever he is didn’t care. No help to clean up. No rag. Nothing.

When we left patrons said that you have to clean up. That’s how lazy and crazy this bar is. You have to pay for your drinks and clean up?? Wow.

If you want the worst experience, this is your bar. Never again...

Really great dive bar! Came here on a Sunday night by myself to just chill out and have a beer, the place is very clean and the regulars are all very friendly, bartenders are also very friendly and didn't mind keep conversations. Really relaxed atmosphere and good place to be, good people great beer at a great price, I'll be coming back here often, and thanks to the owner James for being very attentive on yelp when I asked him about his place, if anyone has questions about this place i suggest...
