Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Ordered for the first time from this Papa Johns, (because the other one on Sherman Way didn’t make our pizza right the last time) and even though it says “Under New Management”, I have to say it’s been the worst experience. Ordered for pick-up and it took over an hour, when it said ready in 40 mins. I drove in and there was a line outside. I went in cause at this point I just wanted to cancel my order. The “Manager or Owner” came in to help out and just yelled that he apologized for the delay, and went on a rant blaming the city, Covid, shortage of staff, the mayor, and so on... what does the mayor, the city, have to do with the inadequacy of running your business? Nothing to do with the delays. What I saw was people running around not prioritizing the customers questions, or even the phone lines. Many people cancelled their order and we ended up enjoying Pizza Hut right across the street. Fast, easy, and glad it was just across the street. I ordered carry out a Extra Large XL New York Style Crust Create Your Own Pizza on 6/2/24. My pizza tracker soon went off ready for pick up. I drive over and ask for a pick up order and he goes to check without saying anything. He seems to be looking around and managing some orders. Eventually he comes back and mentions someone already picked it up claiming third party apps might have picked it up for delivery and saying how did they know the name for my pick up order. I even thought for a second maybe I could have accidentally ordered it for delivery but that was not the case. I gather myself to talk to the guy expecting him either to give me my money back or make me a new one because Papa John’s either gave my pizza to a random or did not even make it. Order a pizza with a side of plain chicken wings, simple order for what they have to offer-so I thought. When the pizza and wings got here, the pizza toppings were wrong and they sent me wings slathered in hot sauce. I called to let Carlos know that the order was incorrect and he was very apologetic and told me that he could only give me credit for the pizza not the wings.
