Fairly large park with two kids playgrounds, one for younger children and older. A gym area with bars and beams. Soccer field Basketball Baseball area Dogs on Leash and space for them to walk around Easy Parking We went at 3:00 PM during school holiday break. There’s a good amount of kids and families. There’s one homeless encampment that was set up at the south end of the parking area that was pretty removed from the park. Overall the park was pretty clean and kids/families were nice.

Green space park in an area of LA known for sandy, rocky hills. The park has good large tree cover, with associated programs for kids to appreciate the nature of trees. There’s good open space to play ball. Also good picnic spots with trash containers and restrooms nearby. The distraction from the natural look of the park is the overabundance of wires and cables, as viewed from along Vanowen Street.

Beautiful park for you and your kids both K-9 and Human alike! They have a great playground with swings and slides. Also several huge fields, with room enough for multiple Soccer/Football games to go on simultaneously. They even have a basketball court and a baseball field! Although as of right now it looks as if it is either being renovated or removed altogether.

I grew up just around the corner on Marlin Place near Fallbrook Avenue. At the time the area on the southwest side of the park that now contains what appears to be a soccer field was a privatly owned parcel with a huge oak and several pomegranet trees. My childhood friend and I would spend hours climbing the oak and swinging from a rope while munching the purple pomegranite seeds.

As far as I can remember the park buldings were what grew from the original stage coach stop named after the local native-American word canoga meaning "watering hole." I cannot validate this but it is what I heard as a child.

I have many fond memories of this place and am very glad to see it has been preserved...

The park is vanowen south of shoup. the entrance to the parking lot you'll miss it if you're going too fast. Once you enter into the parking lot will notice it isn't very big. The park is small but has everything a family can enjoy. That has picnic benches grills a play area with sand for the kids a play area without saying for the kids. A small basketball courts pull up bars dip bars a balance bar and hanging rings. The park also has a small basketball court, two baseball fields and a big grass area that could be for football or soccer. The park also has bathrooms and a fountain area damn on the weekends it looks like a great spot for...

Parking can be a pain on days when there are organized sports events or parties. Bathrooms are DISGUSTING. Once, maybe they just hadn't been cleaned yet. But after visiting on a few occasions at different times of the day, they're ALWAYS disgusting. The playground is filled with sand, which is the other reason for the low rating. It may be a personal preference, but I've had better experiences at playgrounds that are filled with wood chips or have some sort of "flooring" installed. The sand is just so messy. The rest of the park is fine. Plenty of courts and fields, though lots of bald spots in the open areas which means a muddy...
