I thought poquito mas is better than other Mexican restaurants. Its been 7 8 years I go to this place every week. Recently the quality has changed. I don't like it anymore. I always spend 60 70 dollars here and it was worth it but quality and customer service has changed. Before you could get a few small containers of salsa now when you ask the lady to give you salsa she shows an attitude. Usually 2 or 3 comes with one order but Obviously when you have 3 4 orders you have to get more salsas. I asked 3 times for salsas and 3rd time the lady who is in front and take care of orders was yelling and showing me bad attitude. Long story short I got my orders and came home as soon as I open the bag the order is not right. We were so hungry and just wanted to eat. I started cutting the burrito the steak inside was almost white and tasted like liver. Smell was pretty bad. Other shrimp burrito was pure beans and all u could see was beans even dough I asked for less beans on all my orders but they did not lesson. Tostada salad was the worst. The bread was burnt and tasted like pure oil. I won't go back to any poquito mas. Not for one time but for a few times I have had bad experience. First I thought its because of pandemic and maybe they are short on staff but now with 5 people working there problem is...
Read moreI’m super disappointed in an experience I had tonight with my mom. We went to order takeout and went over the order multiple times bc we wanted different things in each of the 3 burritos. Fast forward 1 was right and 2 were wrong. They weren’t bad so we ate them, but it was missing good stuff like rice, beans, and salsa. After dinner we call to let them know what happened and it was the manager (Vanessa A.) in Encino who took the order and answered the phone. She told my mom that the order was correct. We even said to her to differentiate the burritos please write on the foil, pinto, black and rice so we know what is what on the burrito. She basically said we never asked for those things and was super rude. My parents get food there weekly since they opened and never call to complain. VANESSA is the WORST MANAGER I have ever talked to in my life. She said I guess I can give you a burrito, but I know you didn’t order pinto beans…..🤦♀️ needless to say she should not be a manager and needs a ton of training in customer...
Read moreWe recently moved out of the San Fernando Valley to an area that doesn't have a Poquito Mas and, although there are plenty of Mexican food options, we miss having Poquito Mas close as it was our go-to for basic and good Mexican food with plenty to eat for us vegetarians.
So when driving through the area on the way home we jumped at the opportunity to stop in for dinner. It hasn't changed...still offers good and authentic Mexican food...the beans are great. they handmake tortillas and if you're there at the right time you can see that happening.
The place is family-friendly and there are lots of options. We had veggie tacos as well as a customized Bean and Cheese burrito, all served with chips (unlimited if you're dining in!) We appreciate their salsa options at the server yourself salsa bar, and the staff is always friendly and accommodating.
They've got beer too if you swing that way. Oh, Poquito Mas, please join us in The Santa Clarita Valley....
