I hate writing this review because I truly wanted Relentless to be one of my favorite local spots. I live nearby and made a real effort to support this business. I even spoke with the owner about possibly hosting my rehearsal dinner here, that is how much I wanted to love this place. But after giving them more chances than I have ever given any restaurant, I finally have to walk away. The food and drinks can be good, but the service has left me feeling unappreciated and dismissed time and time again. At first, I tried to be understanding when told they were “short staffed.” But when every visit brings the same excuses, the same rudeness, and the same lack of care, it becomes clear that this is not just a staffing issue. It is how the business is run. Some of my experiences: I was once told a cocktail could take an hour. It came in 20 minutes, but the fries I ordered did not arrive for 1.5 hours. I watched other tables get fries without any delay while mine were ignored. I brought colleagues after a work event to show them a fun local restaurant, and I was embarrassed. Influencers who walked in after us were served their meals an hour earlier, and when my team asked about mimosas, the waitress rolled her eyes and snapped, “This is not that kind of place.” One of our meals never came at all. Most recently, after back surgery, I asked to swap out a barstool without a back for one with a back so I could sit comfortably. The request was denied with the excuse that half an inch of chair space would “be in the way.” For a restaurant that does not even appear ADA compliant, that was not just dismissive, it was insulting. I do not write this lightly. I gave Relentless more chances than I would ever normally give. I wanted to believe it could improve. Instead, I left disappointed again and again. If you are looking for a place where you feel valued as a guest, where your time and comfort matter, Relentless is not it. There are many other restaurants in the community that will serve you with respect, kindness, and efficiency. I wish my story here was different, but it is not. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that truly appreciates...
Read moreAfter a couple of visits to Relentless, we decided to have a private party there. Oh my gosh!! From the planning stages to the day of, Doris took care & handled all my requests. On the day of, the assistant manager Bri took care of our party, taking orders, bringing us food, drinks, cocktails. Everything! At first, I was a little worried because Bri was the only one designated to our party, but; oh my goodness, she was so on top of it all. This 1 lady was the equivalent of 5 employees! I can't believe how quick she was to anticipate and attend to our needs. She was so attentive, I was thoroughly impressed.
The food was incredible. We had the bao bun tacos, roasted garlic hummus, tuna tartare, Impossible lumpia, chicken adobo, Gochugang pork belly, Kimchi fried rice, pad Thai Brussel sprouts, Garlic noodles. Everyone commented on how good the food was. Not going to lie, I under-ordered because mid party we had to order seconds of everything. So I was not only impressed with the food, but with how they were able to accommodate the second orders on the fly. For cocktails, we limited the menu to 4 different cocktails for our party, so we went with the Blood Orange Spitz, Ikiru, Metropolis, Paper Moon. We did an open bar, and maybe that wasn't the best idea for me for such a large party, because everyone had to try each of the drinks at least once, then proceeded to order more.
I seriously cannot recommend this place enough, not just for private parties, but for brunch, lunch and dinner. Thank you so much Doris and Bri for making it such a special evening for us. 100% would recommend over...
Read moreFirst of all they need to pick a lane at what their theme is. Is it modern, is it Polynesian, is it a brewery? We were out of towners and when we went there they said are you here for trivia night? We said no. He said I can’t sit down here because we’re really busy for trivia night. He led us upstairs and said you can have any table against the wall. The rest will be for trivia because we’re busy. We got that you’ll be very busy. We were up there alone. I felt like a child on time out. We both had a side salad which had a couple of carrots, and arugula and super salty soy sauce dressing. My husband had the crusted ahi tuna he said it was okay. I had the club sandwich. It was a single layer of greasy buttered bread with a strip of greasy bacon and piece of avocado with one piece of a burnt chicken thigh when I say burnt that was an understatement it was so burnt I bit into it it was like tough grizzle. I was grossed out! I asked for pepper and the poor guy that gave us our plates handed me two paper peppers like you get in a to go sandwich shop and that’s all they had. The server was so sweet. She even looked at and said that’s not good. I will take that off. I felt bad for her because she was running up and down the stairs and told no that’s fine. She did anyway. Only good thing about that place was the server. Sorry I didn’t get her name. Btw, the beer was very good. Go for the beer not...
