I'm so happy to see this new restaurant Rosti in my city. First off, I frequently come to this Brentwood center for other things and second, the food, ambiance, and staff were all wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and ,Fred, one of the owners, gave me the whole backstory of how Rosti came to Brentwood. They’ve been in business for her 30 years and have locations in Santa Monica and Calabasas as well as right here in Brentwood.
I came her for a work event where we had a buffet style dinner with drinks. At I had the Ruffini Prosecco and it was so delish. For my meal I had bites of the Penne Pomodoro pasta, Tuscan Caesar Salad, Arugula & Fig Salad, Meatballs, Chicken Marsala, Pepperoni Pizza, and Cheese Pizza. Every single dish was good, but I have to say my favorite was the Tuscan Caesar Salad, Arugula & Fig Salad, and the Meatballs. Those dishes were very tasty and very well flavored, it will definitely have me coming back for more in the future. Their menu has a variety of items and I can't wait to come back and try more of them especially the mare dishes and more of their amazing salads. Rosti also has a vegan and gluten free menu for those who want it.
I think this restaurant is a great addition to the area and is very affordable. They even have daily happy hours too which is perfect for when you don't want to break the bank. Basically everything is great at this location, but If I could change anything it would be the parking, but that's not Rosti's fault. This location is very busy and has many businesses and sometimes there's not enough parking. There is metered parking on the street, but it's only an hour so be aware of when your time expires because they love to ticket here. I’m glad I came, check it out...
Read moreEDIT: 5/10/23 added build your own pasta photos I got the build your own pasta dish with whole wheat spaghetti (which I got once after the first time I doordashed) but they must’ve ran out of spaghetti so gave me the regular spaghetti. I really wish it wasn’t regular though bc i really didn’t want anything other than whole wheat but they included free bread to compensate for the spaghetti. Which, I suppose is kind and good of them and the bread was decent and good. The spaghetti dish is large, huge portions and you definitely feel full afterwards. Their menu items are a bit pricey but the food is pretty quality and the grilled chicken is really good.
Previous: I had their grilled salmon entree and it was delicious! The salmon is definitely quality and tastes like homemade grilled salmon. I asked for it to be lightly seasoned and grilled and that’s what they did, did not overdo it, but I wish there was less salt on it still. The portion sizes were also pretty big, I just asked for one side of mixed vegetables and they gave a TON of steamed veggies. The zucchini chunks were massive. Overall, I’d recommend if you’re in a health diet and want to eat out and are looking for health conscious plates. Rosti Tuscan kitchen also offers whole wheat pastas and other foods that can be part of your diet. Would come here to try other things in their...
Read moreTried Rosti Tuscan Kitchen in Brentwood for takeout and it was… fine, but underwhelming. I really wanted to like it, the menu reads like comfort food heaven, but the execution just didn’t live up to expectations. I ordered the chicken parm, pepperoni pizza, fries, and a tiramisu to round it out.
The chicken parm was the biggest letdown. The portion was decent, but it was bland, like no seasoning in the breading or sauce. I kept waiting for some flavor to punch through, but it never did. The cheese melted fine but didn’t save it. It was edible, just kind of sad for what should be a go-to Italian staple.
The pepperoni pizza was pretty good my son enjoyed it.
The fries were fries. That’s the best I can say. They were warm, but not crispy, not seasoned, and honestly forgettable. I wouldn’t even put them on the level of fast food fries.
The tiramisu was probably the best thing I had. Creamy and soft, good balance of flavors, and didn’t taste like it had been sitting forever. Still, it wasn’t enough to carry the whole meal.
All in all, I gave it 3 stars because nothing was terrible just painfully average. It might be better dining in, but as far as takeout goes, there are better options nearby, especially at this price point. I might give them another try if I hear the dine in experience is worth it, but for takeout, I can’t really...
