For over 15 years, every single time our family visits Los Angeles, there is one place we must go: Sakura House. Without fail, this incredible yakitori restaurant has been a core part of our travels, our traditions, and our most cherished meals together. Simply put, it’s our favorite restaurant of all time!!

The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth, both from the friendly staff and the tantalizing aroma of perfectly grilled skewers sizzling over charcoal. The menu is a masterclass in simple, high-quality ingredients transformed into unforgettable flavors. The beef is juicy and smoky, the chicken meatballs are packed with umami, and the mashed potato filled mushrooms are a must-order every time. And don’t forget the pork wrapped jalapeños. So good!🤤

No trip to LA is complete without a visit to Sakura House. It’s more than a restaurant to us, it’s a tradition, a place filled with memories, and a spot we look forward to returning to every single time. If you love authentic, expertly grilled yakitori, this is the...

Came on a Friday night, with no reservation. We had to wait a while to get seated. No wait list or anything to write our name down, so you just have to wait to get the attention from the server to let them know. The restaurant is pretty small, around 6 tables and 10 bar seating. At that time there were only 2 servers and one kushiyaki chef, so we understand that it will take a while. Overall everything that we ordered was very tasty, Agedashi tofu, Mushrooms with mashed potatoes, Kurobuta sausage, and black pepper wings were our favorites. But unfortunately a lot of kushiyaki items are not available, all beef items, all innards(heart, liver, gizzards) and other stuff. Will definitely come back to try their kushiyaki when it’s...

WOW, this place is Authentic, fresh and fantastic.

Its the place that no one talks about because they want to keep it quiet, you will too.

Probably the best kept secret and one of the best sushi restaurants in LA.

My girlfriends family is Japanese and this is where they go. They have limited hours and literally people line up before they are opened, if that doesnt say something, I dont know what to tell you. As SOON as they open the doors people rush in and grab a seat from both entrances.

Not to be confused with Sakura House around the corner which is also good.

Check out the photos on Yelp, everything is high quality, fresh and delicious. From soups to sushi.

Really nice place and...

I knew this place from a friend of mine who said great thing about this restaurant so i probably had high expectation. I came here with my partner around 5:30 when they just opened so no other customer except us. I got Fuyu which had 7 skewers with rice, salad and miso soup. I’m not a cheap person but for a $36 menu i expected at least something that would fill up my stomach. Since the meat was small so i end up still hungry when i left the restaurant. Honestly, those skewers were tasteless and disappointing. Service was xoxo. Hmm i don’t think i would be back, it’s just not worth it.
