Silverlake Wine — Restaurant in Los Angeles

They sell wines, spirits (Brandy, Rum, Liqueur, Borbon, Whisky, etc.), food, and glassware, etc. I think on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays they have wine tastings.

Experience As I walked in I was overwhelmed, I saw wine everywhere! I was approached by one of the staff, I wish I got her name. She was patient, friendly, helpful, and genuine. I told her to please help me find the perfect wine for a friend. The wine needs to be red, full-bodied, and I even showed her some of the wines that I knew my friend liked. We walked around and she showed me a couple of wines. After 20 minutes of looking and talking, we found one!! My friend also likes IPA Beer so she suggested which one to get.

Customer Service After I bought the wine they wrapped it beautifully in a box. On the way home, I found out that the wine that I purchased was not the right one so I drove back. The person who assisted me was with someone but she signaled me to wait. After telling her I got the wrong bottle of wine, she was happy to help me find a different one. I could tell she had the same determination that I had in finding this perfect wine. It was during the holiday so it was very busy but she still took the time to help me; she was so understanding. This was a fun winery to visit since it has three labels to taste: Silver Lake, Glen Fiona, and Hoodsport. Since I had already been to 3 wineries and off to a couple more after this, I decided to only try the Glen Fiona and the Hoodsport.

The Glen Fiona wines were good but not the best. The staff was friendly and very attentive and took the time to educate us about the differences between the styles.

Hoodsport is one of my favorite wines. They make a great merlot, but I think I like Hoodsport fruit wines as a change of pace because I lived in Vermont so long and all they have are fruit wines (Apple, Blueberry, Raspberry. . . . ) One of my favorite wines in Vermont was a rhubarb wine and I was happy to see that Hoodsport makes a rhubarb wine.

Best wine store in the world. Everyone who works there is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wine/beer/spirits, and will help you pick out something fantastic that you never knew existed. I love the focus on smaller, high-quality winemakers, and I always discover a new favorite through their weekly wine tastings (a great value). Silver Lake Wine makes wine very approachable and enjoyable, and the selection is tightly curated and consistently next level.
