Stinkin Crawfish of North Hills — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Very nice, casual eating restaurant, unexpectedly in Van Nuys. We started out with the fried calimari. It was a large portion freshly cooked. The coating was crisp and probably the best I've ever had. Best of all the calimari was cooked absolutely perfectly. They were tender and moist, unlike the places that serve something that feels like chewy rubber bands. I'll definitely order them again the next time I come back. The table cloths are waxed paper which puzzled me until my friend ordered Crab Legs, which arrived in a large plastic bag to abundantly smother to legs in garlic butter. It would have been a complete mess if not for the bib and a full roll of paper towels conveniently on the table. They were steamed to perfection and absolutely delicious. If you order this, don't forget to order some sides to go with it, although the crab legs will fill you up just by themselves. I, always playing it safe at a new restaurant, ordered the fried butterfly shrimp with fries and corn on the cob. Again, everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. When I go back, I'll be more adventurous. They have a large menu. Finally, they brought a complementary dessert of an Oreo Brownie with a scoop of ice cream. Very nice way to wrap up dinner. The staff and manager were very friendly and attentive. Our Coke and iced tea glasses never dropped lower than half before they refilled them. We arrived around 7 on a Friday night. As we were being seated, hardly anyone was there. However, by the time we left, the place was completely full. Word of this place has definitely spread. The crowd was very varied both in age and ethnicity, matching the neighborhood. It was easy to see that everyone was having a great time. Depending on what you order, prices range from low to moderate. However, this place is worth every penny. I can't wait to come back! Plenty of parking and easy to see from the street. Although I don't think I'll ever be brave enough to order crawfish, I will have a great selection to...

I absolutely love this place. I go here probably 3 times a month. I invite all my friends here. I highly recommend this restaurant. The waitresses/waiters are fantastic. There's never a wait.

I always order the snow crab legs, mix seasonings at medium spice. My bf orders the fried cat fish. He said it has good flavor. The garlic noodles wasn't my favourite. I would not order that again. My friend ordered the crawfish & she loved it as well. The butterfly fried shrimp was ok, but I wouldn't order that again either. My bf doesn't really like crab or crawfish. He likes fish and things he doesn't has to peel. If you don't like to peel things then you may want to order the peeled shrimp. I haven't tried it, but I'm sure it tastes great.

The bathrooms are clean. I love that they have two sinks right outside the bathrooms to wash your hands before & after you eat.

The bonus it that you get a free desert!!! Fried oreos and vanilla ice cream! Yummy yummy...

Placed an online order...paid in full...arrived at the location for them to tell me that their system was malfunctioning and they hadn’t received my order. I had to pull up my banking app to show them the charge on my credit card statement (as proof of payment). Recite my order so that someone could write it down...and wait another hour for the order to be prepared! The purpose of ordering online was so that it would be prepared when I arrived! Granted it was Valentine’s Day and they were super busy...but this is no way to conduct business. The poor staff was running around like chickens with their heads cut off. None of this was their fault...they were victims too! If the online ordering wasn’t working, it should have been disabled until it could be fixed! Do better...
