Subway — Restaurant in Los Angeles

PRICING ALERT! Was just there, this store has doubled their prices. Was shocked my classic 2x 6in: (1) meatball w/ mozzarella cheese & (1) BMT w/ no cheese, ‘sandwiches only’ was just over $22. Obviously walked out, I consider the store Banned!

And before leaving I scanned the Signature sandwich menu, not sure which one but a 6in was around $17.50.

I checked online (before tax), as of June 2023, a 6in BMT = $4.69 / a 6in Meatball = $4.42 and factoring a avg price of $1.50 for the cheese. So my meal before taxes should’ve been $10.61. (For basically a footlong)

Conclusion, this price gouging is ‘this owner of this location’ so far. Of all the stores around LA & the Valley, this one is the first I’ve seen to separate from the regional franchise average. Probably hoping for those that just swipe their cards or blindly order online & don’t pay attention to the total to not notice as that particular charge will get lost among the others. But with the recession, and the added much higher cost of living, just a shame to see a Subway looking to squeeze the budget even more.

TERRIBLE customer service!! I walked there in the rain (it's a 6 minute walk) got there 10 minutes before they closed and their door was unlocked, chairs still unstacked and the girl at the register refused to serve me. I mean it would probably not irk me as much if I wanted some crazy sandwich order 10 minutes before close, but literally all I wanted was cookies.....cookies that were still in the plastic window next to the register. She clearly just wanted to make sure she could leave at 11pm instead of close at 11pm like it says they do. Idk but when I worked behind a register, you lock the door at close then shut it all down and clean it all up. So if you were off at 11pm and you were closing ,you didn't actually get to leave until closer to 11:20pm (give or take). Needless to say, walking back home in the rain cookie less sucked. I came in at 3:30pm and it was packed , there was one girl working I believe her name is Victoria she was giving outstanding customer service. There was this other girl working didn’t see her name tag but she had purple hair … she was taking her sweet time to help her coworker out .. this isn’t the first time I see it happen ..
