I had a good experience here in the past. However, my most recent visit was drastically different. Upon arrival, none of the workers greeted me and I was not even thanked for the order I placed. I ignored the poor customer service and gave them the benefit of the doubt as I trusted that the cake would be as I remembered it.

After my purchase I presented it to my guest, and she was at a loss of words and shocked by the lackluster display. As I glanced over the cake I easily resonated with her reaction. It was clear that no effort was given to the presentation and considering the price I paid this should not have been the case. In fact, I would have been better off purchasing a cake from a local grocery store as they would have done a better job for less than half the price.

Aside from presentation the cake was very hard. When we went to cut a slice, the knife did not go in smoothly and the taste was below average. As a customer I value consistency and quality. It is very clear this company does not.

This bakery has a lot of different varieties of sweets from cakes to cookies and more. I got a flourless cupcake and my son got a ghost cookie. For me the cupcake was to dense and overly sweet, but my son enjoyed it so if you like sweet stuff the cupcakes are a good option. My son loved his cookie is was perfectly cooked and the icing was the right amount of sweet. The decorations make the bakery come to life and it feels very welcoming. The staff was very friendly and open to suggestions to find something you will enjoy. Prices for the cupcakes and cookies are somewhat fair, I don't know the prices for the whole cakes. The place was not busy at the time I went, however the parking was limited and is paid by the hour. When you park your car you can find QR codes on the post all over the parking to pay. I discovered SusieCakes a couple of weeks and the cupcakes were perfection. They were moist and the toppings great and I would say the best ever, 5 star all the way.

I returned with high expectations. I actually asked Ashley if there was a trainee baker as visually they were not the same as my last visit. I was given the look and told that's how they are! The swirl was not consistent or as generous as my first time. When I got home my doubts were proved to be correct, the red velvet was overcooked with a very well done brown base. The coconut was also way drier than before, felt overcooked.
