Came here because we wanted some tacos and the reviews seemed pretty promising.
Parking sucks - I’ll just get that out the way. Most of the parking are for 7-11 patrons. Getting in here was a hassle because of how tight the parking lot itself is. We managed to get a spot bc someone was leaving. If it weren’t for that, we probably would’ve just left and not try this spot out. So that was an obstacle we had to overcome. Otherwise, everything else was fine.
The restaurant does not offer dine in. You order and go. We ordered upon arrival and ate in the parking lot since we were in Cali visiting from out of state. I ordered (2) of their famous Tacos Dorados de Birria. These were pretty good. The food came out quickly and hot. It wasn’t like the best ever! But they were decent. I would say the consommé wasn’t as rich as some consommé I’ve had. The tacos were moist but not flavorful. I wouldn’t eat the tacos without the consommé. I think the consommé has more flavor than the tacos itself.
Overall this was a great spot for a grab n go or on the go type of day. Just...
Read moreAs someone who rarely leaves reviews, I felt compelled to leave a fantastic one after eating the famous Tacos Dorados de Birria from Tacos El Goloso!! I stopped here on a whim after seeing it on the side of the road, thinking it looked promising. I quickly looked up the restaurant to see they already had a full 5 star rating, and I definitely see why. Everything in the restaurant is without a doubt is seasoned in house and made fresh, from the delicious tortilla chips to the salsas and meats and drinks. All of it is authentic and prepared with care and precision, and you can TASTE it! The food was absolutely phenomenal, and budget-friendly too! After taxes, I paid about $9.30 for the meal. Well worth it for an authentic and filling meal, and the customer service was exceptional as well! The cashier was so nice and randomly gifted me a drink of my choosing to go with my meal! I had an incredible first experience at Tacos el Goloso, and I will definitely be back with friends! I would 100% recommend...
Read moreThis is for thier new location on Gaffey street. Food was fine. My only issue was that they have a strict menu.
You cannot buy individual tacos, you have to buy the plate. To be more specific, you have to buy a minumim number of tacos and you cant mix and match.
For example, I came in and wanted to sample some tacos, so I wanted to order two potato tacos and and two asada tacos for lunch, but only to be told that placing such an order was not possible. I was left with having to choose between one or the other taco platter because, in my case, both platters would have been too much food and too pricey.
That's right, folks: if you're in the mood for one single taco or a combination of single tacos like one asada, one Berria, or one potatoe; you are out of luck!
Seems so silly and arbitrary. LOL. Won't be back. Seems gimickie.
There's an old Mexican saying that reflects the humane and generous nature of the Mexican people: "A nadie se le nega un taco (No one is denied a...
