The Last Call — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Hi Everyone,

I'm writing this review for all the karaoke lovers out there.

I recently went on an incredible first date with an amazing woman—smart, beautiful, and a joy to talk to. To top it off, she absolutely rocked the karaoke stage twice, blowing everyone away with her stage presence and powerful vocals. It was a great night… until it wasn’t.

She wanted to sing a third song, and I was genuinely looking forward to hearing it and recording the moment. Unfortunately, the DJ completely derailed the experience. Instead of following the established list and rotating singers fairly, he decided to let a group of late arrivals (who were clearly his friends) jump the line. My date, who had been up just two spots ago and should have been next, was suddenly bumped down to “ninth.” When I asked the DJ about it, he responded rudely and dismissively.

What made it worse? My date had been tipping him all night—unlike the newcomers—yet he showed no appreciation or respect. It’s frustrating when someone changes the rules mid-game. A song queue exists for a reason—to keep things fair and enjoyable for everyone. Otherwise, what’s the point?

Thanks to the DJ’s poor judgment, the night ended on a sour note. I had been spending money, supporting the venue, and genuinely trying to have a great time.

To anyone coming here for karaoke: be prepared. If you’re not in the DJ’s inner circle, you may be left waiting… and waiting.

This place just dropped from 4 stars to 2. Ordered a Mojito I’ve had here many times—bartender poured it short, then topped it off with 7UP, making it way too sweet. When I politely asked her to fix it, she refused, told me “that’s your problem,” I tried to explain that it's not good or at least make me something else she took my $14 drink, and called security to throw me out. I couldn't believe the behavior and treatment. Having my friends still there I decided to suck it up and let it go. Took my shitty drink back and didn't let her ruin my night. My friends couldn't believe it. Some locals told me that's how that bartender is. I can't believe she continues to work there.

On top of that, when my friends closed out, three of them were each overcharged for an extra drink. Both bartenders padded the tabs.

To the Owner of Last Call - As a former bar owner myself employees like this will ruin your business. Rude bartenders, dishonest billing, and security that can’t think for themselves and make rational just decisions. If I return, I will never order anything that's not...

Good drinks and good place for watch sports and live concerts but I am very disappointed in the way some bartenders treat their valuable customers. I realized the rude, arrogant and belligerent way in which a hispanic female bartender (who claims to be the owner of the place) was serving one of her customers who was sitting next to me. I was a witness when the customer was mistreated, humiliated, discriminated and unjustifiably dismissed from the establishment for absolutely no reason. Said mistreated customer, like the rest of us, deserves decent treatment, especially if said client is a veteran like me. Poor guy and at least he deserves an apology. I just want to see this establishment with a very friendly and cool...
