Villasenor Tokyo Teriyaki And Hamburgers — Restaurant in Los Angeles

First time here. Food is ordered through a window. My partner and I showed up excited to try a new spot in Pedro. Unfortunately no one seemed to be working the window. We saw three people working the food station. It was obvious that they could see us but they had no reaction whatsoever. We waited for a few minutes and then wondering if we were going to get help since no one acknowledged us and it was 4pm on a Sunday, asked if they were still serving customers... We got eye contact and then... Nothing. No one said a word. We waited a few minutes more and then finally asked if someone was going to help us. Still NOTHING. We were literally being ignored. Very weird. We waited some more and then began looking for another place to go when finally a young woman (presumably) asked what we wanted to order without a hi hello or greeting of any kind, or even eye contact, then walked away. Needless to say customer service isn't a strong suit for her or the other employees. The good news is that the burger and fries were pretty good. I come here from time to time to enjoy the Teriyaki plate for $10 however, tonight was the first time I tried one of their hamburgers. Sadly I was disappointed... so let me break it down for you. I asked for onion, they don't carry it, then I asked for pickles, they don't carry that, then ask for mustard and wouldn't you know it, they don't carry that either. I mean wth, those are basic things you put on a Hamburger. Albeit the hamburger is filling, but I wouldn't give it any more than two stars. It was plain and tasteless, not even a hint of salt and pepper. Why is it so difficult for people to make a half decent hamburger, SMH?

I really had high hopes, but was sadly disappointed. Whatever happened to the burger joints that put pride & flavor in their food? I'm sure I'll return for my basic $10 plate of Teriyaki and Rice but not for their Burgers. It seems like every time I try a Burger at a different place, I am left disappointed. First off, the service is super friendly. It was my first visit and the cashier didn't rush me. I liked the vibe. I wanted meat and she suggested the beef plate but I was being greedy so I added the rib to it. The food was really good! The meat was really well seasoned and like she suggested the sauces were really good. Get two sauces each. My order took thr right amount of time to be ready, and wasn't over ir undercooked.
