The parking lot is always full of cars, but no one is in the park?! would appreciate some type of parking enforcement.
Having said that; This park is incredible, i enjoyed my stay, it's wide and the terrain is leveled so you can really enjoy yourself a nice soccer game, football game, volleyball, whatever... there's plenty of room for everyone...there's also a natural preservation habitat for indigenous birds. I strongly encourage everyone to visit this beautiful peaceful park, it's perfect for family outings, romantic walks, casual walks, and especially dog walks. it feels safe and it's very clean, there's ample parking... however, *found that early-mornings and night parking is limited, the lot is completely filled with no one being in the actual park? Where all cars coming from? Where all the people at? I believe that the marina across the street plays a role on vehicles being parked overnight. *To recap, this is a great recreational community park, you can also scroll down to the marina... interesting enough they also have a boardwalk you can take your "Park-walk and Migrated" into the "Board-walk"and you'll soon realize that this could turn into an all day...
Read moreI love this park. It’s tucked away in what used to be the heart of the town, down by the marina and the old cannery. While it doesn’t have any equipment for kids to climb on or swing from, but it does have a beautiful marsh area* to discover bugs and spiders. Has a nice walking path that gives you a windy tour of the park and finishes by looping around the outside of the park so you can see just about everything our local Mother Nature has to offer. It’s a nice quiet place for a picnic. Sit on a bench and lose yourself in a good book or watching the local wildlife come to life at dusk or go to sleep at dawn. Beautiful lush green field for youth soccer games. If you want alone time. Perfect place. If you want to take the kids out and let them be ‘one with nature’ with out leaving the city limits, this is the perfect place!
typically the marsh area is bone dry, but since we’ve had this amazing rain, the marsh is quite...
Read moreWalking park with big trail and lots of green space. Not officially a dog park more like a scenic trail to walk your dog more there are public restrooms from dawn to dusk and plenty of parking lots of green space in the middle of a winding circular trail where you could potentially run a well-behaved doggy without leash but definitely not officially a dog park never too crowded it is a big open space so it would hard to be crowded and it is right next to crafted, which is basically a Fair of things for crafting inside a hangar-like building (reminds me of walking around a tradeshow) and a brewery shares the other half of the hangar. across the street is 22nd Street...
