BOLMART MEDITERRANEAN MARKET — Local services in Los Angeles

I love this market so much!! Bol market is a new Turkish grocery store conveniently on Lincoln Blvd. and everything there is such high quality. I LOVE Turkish food but there is seriously a shortage of access to Turkish food in LA (I get my cravings filled at Cafe Instanbul sometimes, but I love cooking). I stopped in for some produce (when’s the last time you saw organic Campari tomatoes?!) and came back the next day because I sampled the best Baklava I have had in a very long time. Soft, not too sweet, beautiful stickiness and imported from Turkey. Their Turkish products are incredible. Last night I made a make-shift Iskandur with their frozen Dolma meat (which was truly delicious) and their fresh pita which I cannot emphasize how delicious it is: perfect balance of chewy and fluffy. And damn it’s hard to find good pita at a store! This morning I made a breakfast with sujuk and halloumi and they were both such high quality and delicious. I cannot recommend this store enough. It was lovely being able to send pictures back to my Turkish friend and reminisce about my time in Turkey. I will be back for the house-made baba ganoush! PS. It's been amazing to live literally walking distance from Bolmart. It provided tons of different products, which were even beyond only Mediterranean ones despite the name did mention so. Every time I was about to bake and realize I miss some ingredients, this place has always been my go-to and it has consistently impressed me how complete the selections of items they carried.

They even had ready-to-eat weight-based foods on particular days in the week, which if I got correctly probably on weekends. The store was also pretty sizable so you didn't feel it's overly packed and hard to browse around. Besides, it's fully air conditioned and brightly lighted, which wasn't always the case with atypical stores. Few dedicated parking spots available at the back lot came as a plus point!

There's a lady at the cashier which was super helpful and extremely welcoming. I couldn't forget how many questions I asked on different stuffs and she nicely assisted me at all times.

What's most impressive was they kept up with the recent Dubai Chocolate virality, not only selling the ready-to-eat homemade bars, but also all the ingredients...

Very awesome shop! You can find anything that you need if you love Mediterranean food! Was searching for a long time for a Mediterranean store where I don’t need to travel far to get everything that I need! Their products there are amazing! Service is also amazing! Was searching for certain things that I couldn’t find and the lady that was there at the register came and showed me and told me where everything is. I highly recommend to everyone in the area to visit the store and try their products!

Update: Still I like the products of this shop. The people working there at the butcher section can do better. Specifically I was there today on 10/19/24 and I asked if the kofte are spicy? And the butcher told me no, I told him I am asking because I want to buy some but I don’t want spicy since I have little kids that want to eat kofte. I ended up buying the kofte to find out at home that there are spicy. How can you be a butcher and don’t know what products made by your hands are...
