It’s a 99 degree nightmare out there. The air conditioner here is better than at most places and that is so so awesome! Ye Cafe is a hidden Ktown gem!
I have been to Cafe Ye many times. I always get taiyaki and an iced coffee but today I got an iced matcha. Their iced matcha tastes great but it’s sweet and I prefer it without any sweetener. Make sure you stir it! Their taiyaki is very good! I wish they had raro but Nutella will do. They use paper straws which is annoying but I can respect their earth consciousness. Iced matcha latte and 3 taiyaki $18.
So much attention to detail! The coasters are out of this world adorable! The decor is very tasteful and the music is very relaxing. Today they were playing Asian flute music. The ambience is relaxed with a classy museum cafe touch. Great place to do work in the laptop! There was an outlet conveniently located beside my table.
Service started out kind of meh at the register but the last part was great!
They have a stage and lighting so they must have live events. There are several tables and they have partitions which I think is cool. There are cute paper lanterns up on the ceiling! It’s a classy place. Cafe Ye is rich in feminine energy! Not a trendy indie cafe nor a bland corpo cafe!
Some phone carriers don’t give you a good signal here.
Parking is in a structure and its feee with no time limit! You can’t beat that and especially...
Read moreWe love everything about this place, from the food, drinks, ambiance and music. We come here on average once a week and have tried a lot of their food and drinks.
On Friday, we come here to have their draft Makgeolli (rice wine similar to Amazake) to celebrate the end of a work week. Makgeolli that you can buy from supermarket has preservatives and does not pertain the complex enzymes and flavors as the draft ones they serve here. The drink goes really well with their delicious Jeon (savory Korean pancake) and Mandu (pan fried dumplings) as well. I got a bit tipsy at the end and ordered a cup of their fishcake soup to sober up. :)
Other items that you should try: Walnut Cookies, Rice Waffle (even my Korean friend in Seoul haven't had this one), strawberry-ade, and pineapple-ade.
The ambiance is usually quiet and sometimes they have certain mini concerts, and book signing going. When there are no events going on, they play kpop music with traditional instruments which was pretty interesting and soothing. The photography that are displayed around the cafe are always pleasant...
Read moreA unique cafe that offers high quality traditional Korean drinks and snacks. You’ll feel like a Korean QUEEN. Their menu is on the more expensive side though but their food is great and the ambience is hella nice. I’ve tried many things like yuzu (yuja) tea, yuja slush, maeshil tea, maeshil slush, and mugwort tea — ALL of which were delicious. Boonguh bbang (Taiyaki) also pretty solid.
One thing that blew me away was the yuzu (yuja) BINGSOO. HOLYYYY. You aint finding this anywhere else. They make sure to layer it with a lot of orange/tangerine slices so you don’t have to dig away at a sad pile of ice later. I wish they’d give more mochi though.
Ye cafe is a nice place to study or chitchat with friends. It’s located on the top floor of California Market next to the food court and the Two-hands...
