WOW! When I say that their ice cream is top tier, I am not exaggerating. This place has become by far one of my go-to's for ice cream and desserts when I am in Korea Town.
♥Pros •Unique: This establishment prides itself on their cereal cones and their Korean organic soft serves. Their top seller, which also happens to be my favorite, is the "true milk" flavor. It has the perfect blend of sweetness to creaminess which I like in a soft serve. Their combination brings out the flavor of the milk rather than hides it with sugar.
•Instagramable: With more and more places popping up trying to be "hip" it has become more of a requirement that food has to look good for "the gram". With millennials having more buying power and are the up and coming generation the main demographic that visits these shops are the younger generation. So it has become increasingly important that the presentation of the food is good.
•Friendly: The main reason why I even came into the shop was that a friendly worker was gesturing to my party to come in. He patiently explained the shop and gave us samples of the flavors with a smile. 10/10 for his attitude and initiative.
○Cons •Lack of Indoor seating: One of the minor downfalls for this place is the lack of indoor seating. Which can't be helped with the space that they provide, but it's a small inconvenience. It also is nice if it's a hot summer day and one can enjoy their treat inside an air-conditioned area.
Ultimately I would come again to get more after a day in Korea Town. It's a great establishment with excellent ice cream at a fair price point for what they...

I didn’t have this place bookmarked on my list when I visited LA, but it caught me eyes because it had a cute pink wall. Also the fact that there was a long line of people waiting outside, so to my curious self— I just had to drop by.
After lunch, we came back and found parking right in the back (lucky us!). There wasn’t a line anymore and we were able to sample some flavors. The place is very small. There’s enough space for 4-5 people inside and order at a time, while others have to wait outside the entrance before coming in. The workers were very nice and let me take photos and also sample two flavors. I didn’t expect much, thinking it’s probably just another instagram famous spot, but O M G, their flavors are amazing!
I got a taro milk tea x pink guava cone, and my friend got their taro milk x matcha cup. Initially, I was going to get the matcha swirl, but after testing the pink guava, I knew that was the one. The flavors are amazing and tbh, it reminded me of my childhood in Vietnam. I’m not sure if I ate pink guava ice-cream before, but it was so good. The flavors weren’t super sweet and it blended so well together, along with the crunchiness of the waffle cone— perfect combo.
It was hot, and the ice-cream were melting rapidly as we ate outside by the store. We stood in the back where there’s a little bit of shade, and ate quickly. I was surprised to see they filled the soft serve all the way inside the cone, since not many places does that. This place has now earned a spot on my Top Favorites list, and I will definitely come back...
Read moreI went to check out this place on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately one of the machines was down, so one of the few flavors they had left was the True Milk one. And LET. ME. TELL. YOU.
I consider myself an ice cream enthusiast and have tried my fair share of ice cream shops, from Cold Stone in Miami Lakes, FL all the way to Salt & Straw in Anaheim, CA. If there is ice cream, I have probably been there, and tried every flavor you could imagine.
AND YET. This place blew me away just with one thing: The ice cream is as close as perfect as it gets. It is not too cold, not rock hard and difficult to eat, it is just plain and simply a delicious frozen treat. The amount of sweetness is perfect. The taste and texture is perfect. The softness is perfect.
The shop is small and the clerk was super friendly and nice. It is also a clean establishment and there is a nice set of a few chairs and tables outside.
AND YET. What stayed with me was none of that. It was how incredibly good the plainly-named and plain-looking True Milk was.
Also, the sugar cones come in different flavors. I had the Oreo one with some crushed Oreo crumbs as a free topping.
AND YET. None of that truly matters. Go and experience True Milk for yourself. I had been ingesting FAKE MILK my WHOLE LIFE apparently. because True Milk is a truly remarkable experience...
