Read moreHorrible. Just put it this way - I live down the street from here, but I'd rather make the commute to the DTLA library instead. The service is horrible; librarians always have an attitude like YOU'RE the cause of their bad day. It's always loud...ALWAYS. Like the previous reviewer said, they do nothing to enforce the quiet policy. The book selection is extremely small, and more than half of the time they can never find a specific book even though the "computer" shows that it's still in the library. Plus there has been a recent incident where I paid a $10.00+ late fee, yet they told me that it was never paid/processed through the system...after arguing with the clerk for about 5 mins, I decided to pay again and get it over with - but this time I got a receipt. Rest assured the next time I went back, they said I couldn't check out another book because I owed the same late fee _. I showed them the receipt and they said it must have been a "computer error"...Not sure if they forgot to log it or if they just put my money into their pockets. Anyway, take your business elsewhere, this place is the...
The girl who often wears a black leather jacket with purple and hair.. Makes my visit. They are so stressful that now I go to a different branch twice as far but less stressful..
I'm not familiar with photoshop but it. I wanted to print a poster and I was successful. The first time . For some reason I wasn't able to get the size right.. And I was running out of time before the library closed.. I told her right didn't understand why the sizes weren't changing in photoshop. And her response was that She could "refuse to print us if she wanted to" ??
I felt extremely stressed out and discriminated against.. I left.. A few minutes later, I returned and asked the other librarian. If she could help but she didn't know photoshop.. I continue to struggle to get the picture right.. I turned to thank the second librarian and noticed that the girl in the leather jacket was standing about 30 feet away. Watching me struggle without offering any assistance.
I will not be returning to this branch because of staff And they're discrimination...
Read moreI am concerned about potential discrimination that I experienced recently here.
I am a female with a disability, also of Jewish descent with a Jewish last name.
A library named Alexandra with blue hair came over to inform me that my mask had briefly slipped below my nose, and asked me if I could adjust it.
She said nothing to the other male patrons, who were not wearing masks properly-
The man sitting next to me had no mask on at all, and she went back to her desk and said nothing to him or the others!
I am trying to understand why she singled me out and asked me for this, but said nothing to the men and other people there??
It seemed very discriminatory to me and was extremely stressful.
I hope these librarians get their act together. This is not acceptable behavior from the staff.
Please do not come here if you want to be treated...
