Bergeron's Boudin & Cajun Meats — Restaurant in Louisiana

I enjoy the andouille sausage. I buy it for my gumbo when I don't have some from the best stop in Scott Louisiana. But the other Food isn't very consistent. Every time I eat there the food taste different. I mainly get boudin balls because the links can be very dry with large chunks of dry meat that last time I ate it felt like it had beef jerky in it. And it doesn't taste very authentic. There's a strange taste to it that me and everyone else in my south Louisiana raised family think is just wrong. A coworker and my self ate there one day for lunch. He actually threw his link away and went to raceway and got some leblancs links for half the price that didn't have that strange taste. Convenient store boudin sold in Shreveport was better. It would be different if it was from a gas station in Cajun country, that's expected to be good. If the food wasn't 2 times the price as I could get it from the best stop, Billy's boudin, or dons, or any where else down south it wouldn't be so bad because it's hard to find quality Cajun products in Shreveport. It taste ok for up here if the price was what it should be. I paid 40 bucks at the best stop for 5 lbs of boudin, 4 boudin balls, 4 stuffed pork chopped thicker than my hand and as big as my open hand each, and a couple lbs of andouille that's what dreams are made of, with a large thing of their Cajun seasoning. U can't get 5 lbs of boudin at Bergerons for that price....

I was just in to purchase $7.49 Jalepeno bread and $11.99 hamburger patties. The counter check out girl being very rude, I would recommend to organize this site more professionally. There were 3 girls behind the server counter, one girl ordering to only be told to wait to be checked out, 2 registers, 3 girls, one girl ordering? I was told to wait. Wait on what? So, I returned the merchandise back to the freezer placing the frozen patties & the hamburger buns back on the display. On my way out I never said anything to this group of young girls until, they were laughing and said have a nice day. I said in return no you have a nice day. I am disabled, so my wife called & spoke with Micala, Micala stated that I was rude & a liar. No, Micala is the liar. We will not be returning back due the unprofessionalism of this group of young ladies that are in charge, and I'll let everyone I know about this incident as well. For now own we will place our orders from down south rather than dealing with such mess. We did shop with this outfit alot especially during the holidays. My Wife and I stopped by their ESTABLISHMENT today for the first time, and wow, am I ever glad we did. We have passed by this place many times and always wanted to stop, but with PROCASTINATING of maybe next time, it would always be maybe next time. Well, we finally did stop by, and we're glad we did. We bought some of their seafood gumbo, shrimp etouffee, shrimp stuffed baked potato 🥔, and a tin of their white chocolate bread 🍞 pudding 🍮. We tried the seafood gumbo and bread pudding this evening at home and was it ever fantastically delicious, the best I've had in a long, long time. Only thing I forgot to go with the bread pudding was their sauce that goes with the pudding, but it was fantastic without the sauce. I bet with the sauce it will be almost sinful, and I guarantee you, I plan on finding out. I'm looking forward to trying their shrimp etouffee, and if it is at least half as good as the seafood gumbo, it will be fantastic, too. Totally recommend Bergeron's Boudin & Cajun.
