Went in for dinner last night. Was on my way to another ramen joint and happened to see it next to the Warhammer store. I am a big anime nerd so I was super excited. I had no idea they even existed there. Definitely needs some advertising for sure.
Atmosphere is great, have all kinds of anime art and whatnot all around. Super cool aesthetic for certain.
Service was half and half. Had some really great people that kept checking up on me and made sure my glass was full however my actual waitress/hostess was not very good at what she was doing. You could tell she was either upset or just had zero patience to serve customers.
Food was great, ordered 3 items. The pork bun, karaage chicken, and their first ramen option Tonketsou. It looked like most of their ramen options come with chasu pork, which if you haven't had, is to die for. So not mad about that at all haha. The porkbun was delicious though a bit difficult to eat, came out like a foldover sandwich. But would recommend. The karaage chicken lost me. Didn't have much flavor even with the dipping sauce supplied. But most importantly the ramen was FANTASTIC. good portion size for the price for sure and loved it. Kinda sad I didn't see an option to make it spicy but it was great regardless.
They have the basic selection of sodas and sweet tea(warning:not southerner sweet tea, something like a Midwestern sweet tea iykyk) as well as having more options on the back of their menu however those options apparently aren't up and running yet. I look forward to when they are though because they have mango and pineapple slush options and that's my jam fam.
Overall I will be going there again and trying other options and suggest it for my friends(if i had any) as a regular joint. Glad it came to shreveport and hope it succeeds. We need more places old Otaku like myself would...
Read moreHad seen good reviews so I was hopeful that there would be a second really good ramen shop in Shreveport. Unfortunately it wasnât the case for me. Enjoyed the atmosphere but that means the least to me. We ordered an appetizer of Karaage. My boyfriend ordered the Shoyu Ramen and I had the Tonkatsu Curry Ramen. I ordered it because I thought it was unusual as curry ramen isnât offered at most ramen restaurants. In Japan you can find it but itâs not as common so I was intrigued. First we were brought sweet tea instead of unsweetened honest mistake. Then my boyfriend got his ramen bowl before our appetizer then I got my bowl right after. The karaage was hot but not the normal crispness like a well fried potato starch chicken should be and it was not marinated like it should be or it least not long enough. More like the precooked bag Karaage you can get at asian markets. The other thing I thought was strange is that whatever it was seasoned with had curry in it. So we werenât real thrilled with that. The ramen tasted ok but Shoyu is supposed to be a soy sauce broth with a good umami background taste. But it looked more like a watery tankatsu. The Tankatsu curry had far more curry than that creamy rich pork broth you should expect, I didnât find it to be creamy at all. The eggs were cooked perfectly but were not marinated nearly long enough. The ajitama (the egg) should be really flavorful. These just tasted like any other soft boiled egg. So it looks like there is still just one Ramen shop that truly hits the authentic mark. The two chains that have recently opened sadly taste like you would expect a chain restaurant to taste. If you are looking for the cheaper price and not the authentic quality then they definitely...
Read moreNaruto Ramen delivers an absolutely amazing dining experience! I ordered the Beef Ramen with Katsu Chicken on the side, along with Crab Rangoon and Chicken Wings as appetizers, and everything was perfect.
The Beef Ramen had an incredibly rich, deep broth with a perfect balance of savory and umami flavors. The beef was tender and juicy, and the noodles were cooked just rightâfirm yet springy. The toppings, including green onions and a soft-boiled egg, elevated the dish to the next level.
The Katsu Chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of crunch. It paired beautifully with the ramen and added an extra layer of texture and flavor.
The Crab Rangoon was perfectly golden and crispy, with a creamy, flavorful filling that wasnât too sweetâjust the right balance. They were served hot and fresh, making them a perfect start to the meal.
The chicken wings were another standout. They were well-seasoned, crispy, and juicy, with just the right amount of spice and flavor. It is perfectly cooked and great for sharing!
Beyond the food, the service was fantastic! The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick, making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
If you're looking for high-quality ramen with delicious sides, Naruto Ramen is the place to go. Iâll definitely be coming back!
Edit: Made another visit to Naruto Ramen and the food was great as always. However, there was a price change that wasnât reflected on the menu. The Beef Ramen (R9) went from $14 to $19, but only $2 was adjusted at checkout. Be sure to ask about any menu updates...
