IHOP — Restaurant in Shreveport

The food was ok. The restaurant is really dark. But the service was weird. We got our food promptly and the overdone eggs were replaced quickly, but the woman seating us didn't say anything, just walked away from the podium with our silverware are menus and dropped them at the table and walked away (we had a baby and nothing was said about a high chair). She walked over to another woman and talked to her for 15-20 seconds and then passed us by on the way back the podium. I asked her if we could get a high chair and she said that a third person was going to be asked to bring it to us. A few minutes later we had the high chair. When our waitress was taking our order the table behind us asked for something and she just walked away to take care of them and then later on when she was asking how our food was, when I was trying to explain that the eggs were very, very dry, the table on the other side of us tried to get her attention and she walked away again. She then just walked right by us saying she would get the eggs (she did and they were much better!)

The entire experience made me wonder if we were on a prank show. It was just so bad and weird we couldn't believe it was...

Welllll..... Maybe the Eclipse has people moving in accelerated speed... And UNFRIENDLY..... Poor Customer Service. Upon entering IHop... We were asked How many ...(with a look that clearly said she really didn't want to be here) .... we said 2 .. she immediately grabbed the menus turned around quickly and seated us at the FIRST BOOTH!!! Then the Server ... Who did not mention her name .... Y'all need a minute... We proceeded to TRY To give her our order.... And she said AGAIN... Y'all need a minute..Right in the middle of us TRYING to tell her what we wanted. 😕(LISTENING SKILLS Is a Must! And DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED!) ANNNNNND!!! I just watched the server pick up the menu from the customer...(who had sneezed all on the menu 😣) and place right back in the stack to be handed out!!! WT!!!! THAT IS NOT GOOD!!! Can you give more than 5 minutes before asking whether it's (Together or Separate) ... Let me enjoy the FLAVOR! Before RUSHING Me Out of The Door!! (Which makes me Not want to Return!!!) The other man across from me was completely done before you brought him his ticket!!!! The Best Part was .... The Food was FRESH and Good!

Seated immediately by a friendly hostess. Table service was prompt and polite. 3 of us ordered the highly promoted 4 pc. Buttermilk Fried Chicken filets with 3 pancakes 'feature' item. Time was 12:30 pm on a Sunday. The restaurant was tidy and lively. Food came within 20 minutes. It looked & smelled good. Kid's meals were fine. Adult pancakes were good, however there were issues with the buttermilk-battered chicken filets on all 3 plates. Not every fried filet was bad, there were good & bad ones on each of the 3 'specials, but between the bad texture issue and the not fully cooked thicker filets and the cross cut filets, instead of cut with the breast meat's natural grain, plus all the filets were a little dark, like they were all fried in one basket and they stayed down 2 minutes too long, so there were 1-2 good filets on each plate, which changes the value paradigm of the 6.99 special. None of them should have been even a tad undercooked, since they were so dark... confusing, I know. Still, we had a timely and enjoyable meal out with family and good service in clean, pleasant surroundings. IHOP, fix your chicken troubles and you'll get a great...
