This is a rant/review... Low energy employees. They are ALWAYS out of something. Employees never say thank you or your welcome even after I say thank you. Lines are sometimes long and move slow when long.
Look, I realize it's fast food and it's not fun but it wouldn't kill you to have a little pride in your work and smile. I did it when I was younger and it's not hard work. Being courteous and respectful to others brightens their day and in turn will brighten yours and make you feel like you've done something positive and productive. The customer shouldn't feel like they are a burden to the employees. If your job sucks, its because you make it suck. Unfortunately, the Baton Rouge fast food industry is filled with kids, but mostly adults, who take absolutely no pride in their work and only care about 2 things, getting off of work and payday.
I do want to encourage anyone eating at this location to do the online survey on your receipt. I filled it out with my pros and cons and the next day the owner of that store called me personally to apologize to me and said the problems I raised were being addressed. That is a rare thing these days and it's nice to know my opinion and experience matters to someone. However, I went there again tonight hoping for a new experience but it was more of the same thing. On my last visit they only had 3 egg rolls left (the only thing I eat there aside from the occasional ultimate cheeseburger), I ordered 6. I didn't find out until I pulled up to the window after I placed my order. Tonight I ordered my usual 6 egg rolls which they had but they were out of sweet and sour sauce. I didn't find this out until after I paid and he handed me my order with no sauce in the bag, I turned to ask for sauce and he told me they were out. Egg rolls without sauce? No thank you. I took the order since I already paid.
No one knows what they have until they are out of it. Does that seem right to you? This location is constantly busy and sells a TON of food each day so the solution should be simple, order more stuff so you don't run out. This simple solution seems to be complex space rocket science for whoever is in charge of the food stocking and ordering. I realize people make mistakes but if they are happening on almost every visit then something needs to change. I fear the owner is missing out on a ton of sales because of this and also because I hear they just close the drive thru even though it's supposed to be 24 hours or they lie make up excuses on why they can't serve you. "The shake machine is down" is the all time tried and true excuse. It's not down. You just don't want to have to clean it again. The lazy factor in today's fast food worker is what's causing a decline in sales, closing stores and most importantly food poisoning. Part of doing your job is actually doing your job! You don't get paid to be lazy and entitled. Sorry, I'm getting off topic, I could go on and on about today's snowflake generation. Back to this store...
My egg rolls are always hot and fresh so I cannot complain about the quality of the food, when they have it. The shortage of food and customer service are my main concerns.
In closing... Will I eat there again? Yes but only because it's the only Jack in the Box by my work and on my route home from work. It's the most convenient for me. I have grown to expect sub-par service and long wait times. It stinks but that's the Baton Rouge fast food industry and there is just no way around it unfortunately.
I have to say I really admire the owner of this location though. He genuinely seems to care about his customers and wants his restaurant to be run well and to be customer friendly. He even gave me his personal number to call him directly with any concerns I may have in the future. Really nice guy, I can't stress that enough. He is trying his best and doing what he can with what Baton Rouge gives him. I respect that and will continue to eat there because of the owner and the care he shows for his...
Read moreYou know I've had all kind of different services from all different places Hear about rude and I do mean a variety of different types of services. But that being said this is by far the most unreliable Place to try to go to and eat. The way I work and my life cause me to basically be where my days are the nights so but that should not be an issue getting food right? I mean they are 24 /7 (according To what they promote at least)... Well over the last 3 years Anytime between 230 and 530A.M in the morning, the employees have given so many excuses as to why they are closed but its always within the timeframes. Though they may have barely and I do mean barely made the cut as far as the What would be considered the worst fast food 24/7 restaurant, Actually as of Maybe a month ago now on the are now the worst because the McDonald's On siegen lane would be But they are no longer a 24/7 hour passes restaurant so congratulations jack-in-a-box you are now That title holder ...One excuse I enjoyed the most was when they say they don't have enough employees to make my food . when there is only myself in The line in the early morning hours. Now yes i will agree that it sucks that you might have to do some work that you have surpassed and telling your self that your supposed to be managing not making the food or whatever you want to say ....but in reality that's not necessarily true your the manager on shift ..you're supposed To run the restraunt and if it's only you in there ...well sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your parts are run that service not make your own rules as you go like R shake machine is down just because your cleaned it already and don't feel like cleaning again it's not how life works people . If you don't wanna work there if you don't want to do with the jobs Hi you do leave because then you will get customers like this and I never write a negative review as a one star on anybody and you know after 3 years in a row and I mean like any time I go to that place that's what I've been told you that we know how enough Employees.... or our systems are down which by the way the systems are down or switch to be Started and completed within a timeframe and
So EXPLAIN to me how That wait time and yes I have sideline and waited for it to be done reboot in all that good stuff which took 20 minutes at the most and I've even seen it be done within 15 ... But now magically it's 30 to 45 minutes .
... And not only was it just one jack-in-a-box it was the 1 bright down the road on parkinson season usually I could rely on them but there are starting to be just as bad because they told me the same exact thing but here's the catch tell me how your systems are down but yet you have a customer at your window??? Really? I mean again I've had my fair share of excuses from many places such as Red Robin how they told me they had a gas leak and that's why they closed 45 minutes early but there was no fire truck airbus to inside blahblahblah point being is that the lying and again the like of doing the job. Which all this had happened in the time frame of 335 and 420 and literally I was running out of gas.....
But I am done writing about this place because they're gonna be the same way no matter whatI post on here nothing will be corrected but the main thing I wanna pass along to check in a bus wherever to the matter with location I assure you my family which is a pretty damn big family will never eat at...
Read moreAbsolutely AWFUL!!!! Drove almost 10 hours to get to Baton Rouge and stopped here to get some food before checking into our hotel. The girl at the drive thru was rude and yelled at us for us to order. My husband had just pulled up and rolled the window down. While he was ordering she kept interrupting saying “WHAT ELSE” we wanted tacos and she said they didn’t have tacos. So we got the little jr jumbo jack burgers and 2 small fries. She basically just threw the food in my husbands hand and turned her back and walked away. My husband waited patiently for her to come back to the window because he wanted ketchup. She never came back. I told him to pull back through at the window so she would acknowledge us. So we went and asked for ketchup at the intercom. When she came to the window she gave him a few packets of ketchup and was going to just walk away again, and my husband asked for some napkins. She gave him napkins and that was that. We left and went right around the corner to our hotel. Opened our food and everything was cold. I didn’t think my burger even had meat on it. I opened the bun and there was a little bitty thin sliver of meat. I’ve never had this bad of an experience at any fast food restaurant until tonight. We were the only customers there, so it isn’t like they were swamped and just busy. This is bad customer service and disgusting food all the way around. There were also roaches! I’ll never go back there if I can help it. When I checked into the hotel, I told the lady at the desk about our experience, and she said they’re always like that at night and that they need...
