Food is great! I like the gyro and also chicken box or pita wraps. I get extra tziki sauce.
I don't give negatives reviews often because i don't usually have bad experiences at most places i go, but i have to say something about the service here. It's about one individual in particular.. There is a young man in his 30s who works there (i think is family run store because he's been there for years) and he's the one who takes your order if you are inside if he's working that day. Without exception he will belittle, mock, and make jokes at your expense Everytime! He is extremely arrogant and offensive but I suppose he thinks he is being funny. I think he is very Disturbed.
Easy solution is to use the drive through. I cannot stress the importance of this enough, ALWAYS use drive through and you won't have a problem. Because that one kid is psychotic. If you see him you'll know who I'm talking about. He's not there all the time but if you are unfortunate enough to see him you'll remember this review and perhaps have a good laugh later.
I'm giving 2 stars because that psychotic man child is so bad. I considered 3 stars because food itself is excellent, but i made big mistake recently and went in for order because i had forgotten about this guy. But there he was, waiting to mock me as i stepped inside. It was so bad i instantly regretted it. I ignored him, quite literally I just ignored him. I should have left and gone through drive through instead. Fortunately his dad (i assume it is family operated) stepped in to take my order because i ignored the weirdo son. Food was great but i didn't enjoy my time there at all.
You'll notice most people use the drive through and they don't go inside. I'm pretty sure the psycho working inside is a major reason for this.
Anyways, this is my one negative review i had to share. Now you'll probably be curious to go check him out so you can witness the crazy guy. If he's there you'll see he's much worse and terrible than im describing him.
Also consider going to other serops express locations on Jefferson and govt. Much more peaceful inside and nicer dining experience. ...
Read moreSavory Greek Lebanese to go🌯. I was meeting up with some friends and Baton Rouge and needed a spot where we could eat lunch and connect. Serops was suggested by one of the Baton Rouge locals. It was super easy to get there with amble parking. They have a drive-through or fast to go orders, but we were dining in. I had the Gero Meet with Mousaka and smothered okra and tabouli salad. If you like eggplant at all, you should definitely try the moussaka It was a new level of fabulous. The Gyro meat was very tasty and in small bite-size pieces easy to eat with a fork. For 13.50 it was an amazingly large amount of food really it was enough For two people. The staff was super friendly and what I really loved was that all the food was marked so that I could clearly understand what I was ordering and speak about it and not have to guess. They also included Pita bread and sauce with my order. I did not make a pita bread sandwich, but many other people were and they...
Read moreOh my! This place is just perfect! I'm from out of town, and we don't have Serop's where I live. This was recommended by a hotel staffer and I'm glad she did. You get delicious Greek-Lebanese food at very affordable prices (a couple of the meals are priced at $6.95 each), served quickly, by friendly and helpful staff. The beverage station is in the dining area so you can serve yourself with your choice of soda or iced tea (both sweet & unsweetened). I like the Chicken Shawerma (it's grilled). You are free to choose your sides - and they have several to choose from both cold sides or hot sides. I love their sautéed eggplant; the fried cauliflower is good too. Oh, and the pita bread along with Grecian sauce that comes with every meal is enjoyable as well. You will love the food...
