This is another one of those strip mall hidden gems. Came here after restaurant hopping and ordered their yellow curry. The place is not very busy for dine in- saw a few takeout orders, but we ate in anyway. The service here is AMAZING!!! Very attentive staff and kind. Their yellow curry was drop dead delicious and is a large enough portion to split between 2 people. It was my first time having it with potatoes, as the ones I’ve had in the past used a different recipe without them. This place has your typical Thai staples from fried rice, curry, and pad Thai and pick your level of heat. Their hottest spicy wasn’t exactly as spicy as most Thai, but the food is so good, it didn’t matter either way. While this place is a little on the pricier side with offerings at $12-$30 a pop, it is definitely worth a shot for the flavorful taste of Thai food. An added bonus is the water here actually tastes like it is filtered, unlike most places in Louisiana where the water tastes like toilet water and may be very unsafe to drink (No I don’t know what toilet water tastes like, but use your imagination, folks).

I went out of my comfort zone and tried something different... I've been wanting to try Pad Thai ever since my boss told me about it, so I went to try it here. I have to say, the appetizers were great, and the Pad Thai was too...at first. But it was definitely NOT what I thought it would be. I know I personally won't order it again, but everyone has different tastes and a lot of people say Pad Thai is really good. But, it's just not for me.. (And since I don't eat onions or peanuts, that probably changed the flavor and made it too sweet. I prefer savory and herby types of food, not so much the sweet & soury types). The other dish we ordered was this soft shell crab dish. At first sight, I thought there was too much juice. It had a good flavor and blended well with the soft shell crab and rice. I gave them 4 stars because it just wasn't my cup of tea, so to speak, but the service was quick and the food was good. But for me, I'll stick to fried rice from now on. We may be back again, but I'll be eating something different...

I have never left a review this fast in my life. I am still sitting at the restaurant and had to leave this review. I have *never* been more welcomed to a restaurant than I was here today. Nong is a treasure! When I asked about getting tofu in the pad Thai, she said I could put any protein choice in any of those dishes. She said if anything had a vegetable we didn’t like, they would take it out. If we wanted to add a vegetable we did like, they would do that, too. The food was made to order, was fresh and delicious, and was served with big smiles, friendliness, and joy. She loves her job, and her customers are part of that, and, boy, does it show!! I wish I lived closer so we could patronize her business more frequently, but I will make trips specifically to come here. Thank you for such delightfully unexpected joy for what we hoped was just going to be a tasty Thai lunch. We feel like we have a new family member! Thank you, Nong!

The pad thai is GREAT - umami flavor (DELICIOUS) - got it with tofu - Stir fry glass noodle (clear rice vermicelli) with bean sprouts, egg, green onions, carrots, and ground peanuts, with a ground pepper spice to sprinkle for taste, and a wedge of lime to spritz on top. MMMMM! Wife had the massaman curry - like a mild indian korma, but a little different. Peanuts, potatoes, onions, and carrots in a curry sauce with coconut milk, and rice on the side. It was soooo good. Also, their egg rolls come with the lunch special and are some of the BEST with a light sweet thai chili sauce to dip in. The next day (yes it's that good!) had the drunken noodle (no alcohol - legendary hangover cure, or street food sometimes paired with adult beverage - hence the name) SAVORY with stir fried flat rice noodles, tofu again for the protein, bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, onions, basil, and chili (spice can be adjusted to taste when ordering) and Wife had the yellow curry chicken stir fried rice - think chinese fried rice with added coconut milk, and curry flavor! Clean, fair price, fresh exotic food, and nice folks...
