My son and I arrived at the Metairie location on Veterans Mem. Blvd. at 8:40 PM on 12/19/24 to dine in. We ordered a large Caesar salad and a large pizza while awaiting my wife's arrival. The restaurant was closing at 9 PM and we were the only customers there. A few minutes before 9 PM our salad had still not arrived at our table so I asked the girl who took our order at the cash register about it. I overheard her discussion with the kithen staff and learned that the salad had not been prepared. I then asked the same girl to "slow down" our pizza order/service so we could eat at least some of the salad before the pizza was brought to our table. She said "no, we can't do that--we have to keep moving forward with it because the kitchen has closed." It was a few minutes before 9 PM at that point--the restaurant's posted closing time was 9 PM--if the kitchen was 'closed," it shouldn't have been. Translated: the kitchen staff makes a mistake and doesn't timely make our salad and our simple request, in an otherwise empty restaurant, to give us a little time to eat at least some of our salad befiore the pizza lands at the table with it simultaneously is refused because the staff (or the girl at the cash register) is ready to close down and go home ASAP. I hope the ownership of this Theo's location reads this review and addresses this type of conduct. There are too many other places in Metairie and the NOLA metropolitan area serving pizza for customers to support at which they won't be treated this poorly.

This is the Theo’s closest to me, and my very favorite. The staff is always courteous, hard-working, and on the ball.

I often go by myself, order two beers (which I get up front), and when someone brings me my pizza - I’m in seventh heaven…

The pizza is always perfect. I am a fan of St. Louis Style pizza (without the provel, of course) and the owners have nailed it. The crust is always crisp, the sauce is slightly sweet, and I always get extra cheese.

The specialty pizzas are not to be missed, either! The “Expert” is wonderful, they have a good BBQ pizza, and they do rotate seasonal specials regularly.

They also have excellent wings, salads, and sandwiches. The menu isn’t just pizza. And their beer selection - although not huge - is diverse. The drink offerings seem to differ from store to store - this particular one has a couple IPAs on tap that I really enjoy.

The only gripe I have is that they haven’t opened a Theo’s closer to me, between Power Blvd and Transcontinental in north Metairie…

I will continue to go back again and again. Oh, their customer service is top-notch as well. I hope they stay...

Not only did we wait over 30 minutes just to get a large ceasar salad while the staff laughed and talked at the front of the house, we had to change our order from dine-in to take out because we had to leave. Our pizza came out before the salad and we were told that the cashier thought we got our salad. Had they been busy that would have been understandable, but we were the only two people in the building outside of staff and were sitting in the corner next to the window with plenty of light to see those red plates were empty and nothing else was on the table but our drinks. We waited another 5 minutes to get the salad as the cashier was trying to defend herself about us not having one in the first place and when we finally got it the salad had big sliced mushrooms, diced bell pepper and onions, and black olives, with ranch dressings. This has definitely been a very bad first impression of this restaurant to say a large Ceasars salad and large chicken pesto pizza...

FIRST VISIT: FANTASTIC!!!! Visited with my grandkids and was greater as soon as we entered by someone at the counter. Discovered her name was Ayanna and she is still in training. IF it were not unethical, as the H.R. Director of Fedex locally I would certainly try to pull her to us. Her professionalism, knowledge of the system, and her general customer service makes her priceless in this current labor condition. Please encourage her to move up and into some for of a leadership role. I explained all this as well in person to the restaurants Gen.Mgr.Hailey. Keep up the great work. We will be back. Cj

I really love this place. My understanding is that Theo's is a local chain, but I've only eaten at this location. I've had it twice and was very impressed each time with the quality. It's more of a crispy thin crust, and they put just the right amount of sauce on it (I like to notice it's there but not end up wearing it). As you can see on the included photo, the cheese also browns really nicely. It's just a really strong pizza offering. Even though pizza isn't exactly the first thing I think of when visiting New Orleans, I'm a big fan of Theo's and will definitely return.
